Hi,
It’s not the app that’s the problem here, i have no doubts that it will
continue to be accessible, no the problem now is the players themselves. Sure
you can get around this by constantly having your sonos open on the iPhone but
that shouldn’t be necessary as there are buttons on the units themselves for
when you just want to turn the things on or off or lower or upper the volume
and that’s gonna be tricky with only touch buttons.

Maybe it is possible to mark buttons with braille dots above or below?

Jim, Have you given any thought to the possibility of marking the
here-to-for accessible buttons with dots? This might make them easily
accessible just like micro-wave ovens. Let's not be alarmist until we have
tried alternative ways of accessing a product especially when that product
hasn't even hit the market yet.

2015-09-30 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Krister,

I agree with Fred, let's just wait and see, after all, the only buttons a Sonos
player has is a volume up/down and a play/pause button. I think even if these
were just touch sensitive buttons a blind person could very easily figure them
out or mark them as some suggested. If anybody who writes to Sonos about this
gets a reply please do share it.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi,
I did just that today not out of a sense of panic but more out of a desire
to know and enlighten them of this segment of their customer base. When I
clicked on contact us at their web site I was tickled to find the following:
"At Sonos we're committed to providing a ridiculously high level of service
to all of our customers — resellers, partners and consumers alike. Contact
us,
and you'll see exactly what we mean. And, if you want to go straight to the
top, feel free to

email our CEO
directly, he’d love to hear from you."
c...@sonos.com
Feel free to join in my contacting party if you're curious. So far the
accessibility of their app has been stellar in recent years so I've high
hopes that'd continue.
