Re: What are the advantages of buying Apple Watch series 8 over series 7?
Thanks to all of you who replied to my question. You really made it easier for me to decide. I went ahead and ordered series seven 45 mlm GPS and celular. They are on sale at Target for 379.99 which is 150 dollars cheaper than series 8. I just thought I would hold on before I should invest on the latest series, because I did not find the series 8 enhancement are that important to me. As Mary Otten said, when significant enhancements to the Apple watch features like blood sugar sensor or blood pressure monitor or real thermometer are implemented, I will be tempted to spend more. While at it, is there an Apple watch email list I can join to ask questions. Since I never owned a smart watch before, I will be asking too many questions and I do not want to clutter this list. Thanks again for your help. Regards Sent from my iPhone > On Oct 7, 2022, at 8:41 PM, Sherrie Gosling wrote: > > I just got the series 8 2 weeks ago. Re: What are the advantages of buying Apple Watch series 8 over series 7?
I just got the series 8 2 weeks ago. The temperature feature is pretty useless unless you are a female in the reproductive years. As I am well past this stage this is useless to me. It only finds your average temperature while sleeping and then tells you if your current night you went up or down a little bit. I will say the watch is a godsend to me now, since I am having some heart issues with the heart rate changing quickly, so the watch is alerting me to these problems. I also use the ECG feature. Re: What are the advantages of buying Apple Watch series 8 over series 7?
I guess the new one has a little bit faster processor. I have the seven. Check that. I have the SE cellular. So my processor isn’t even the one that’s in the seven. I really have appreciated the cellular feature. I don’t always have my phone. If I go on a bike ride I certainly don’t have it. So for me the cellular is kind of cool. $10 a month yes. So I guess it depends on What you think is more important. I didn’t hear anything that was all that special for the eight. I am waiting for some more significant health things before I spring for the full price model. RE: What are the advantages of buying Apple Watch series 8 over series 7?
Hi. When I got my Series 7 Watch, I decided to get the cell feature. It was more a novelty thing for me, but it sure came in handy today. I was wearing my watch, and decided to take the garbage out. I was wearing clothes with no pockets in them, so I had no way to carry my phone with me. In the process of taking the garbage to the dumpster, I got disoriented, and was unsure where I was. Thankfully, I was able to make a call to the office and have them look for me. Just goes to show these things come in handy. Re: What are the advantages of buying Apple Watch series 8 over series 7?
Thanks Kevin, The decision I have to make is whether to buy series 7 GPS and celular for 350 dollars, or buy series 8 GPS and celular for 500. We are talking about 150 dollars differance. If the main differance is the temprature sensor, it is not worth 150 dollars to me. It is a feature with no use to me. It is a handy feature useful to women who want to monitor their cycle and ovulation if they want to get pregnant. RE: What are the advantages of buying Apple Watch series 8 over series 7?
Hi. I have a Series 7 Apple Watch that I bought as a Birthday present for myself. I'm very happy with it. I thought about upgrading to a Series 8, but the only thing that I know it does that mine won't is to measure body temperature. The Series 8 might have a little more battery level, but it wasn't enough for me to upgrade it. Just my thoughts. Have a blessed day and don't work too hard. Hello folks, I have never owned an Apple Watch, but have been flirting with the idea for quite sometime. I noticed that the prices of Apple Watches series 7 have gone down significantly after the release of series 8. That is the reason of why I like to know the advantages of buying series 8 over series 7, and whether paying 150 dollars more for getting Apple Watch 8 is worth it. I hope that those of you who own apple watches can help me decide. Regards Sent from my iPhone -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
