It does not vibrate when the phone is on battery. That would have
definitely been a nice feature.

none of my old iPhone's, 3GS, 4 nor 4S ever vibrated when on power and
powering them up, none of them.

so, first thing to say is that the iPhone 5 when on power definitely does.

I will not unplug my iPhone 5 from power for a good few hours yet as I like
to give them a good first charge.

I don't doubt that would be nice but, How many times have people started their

WHere I think this feature would be most helpful is in the case where you have
to do a reset when the phone becomes locked up. Although a nice feature perhaps
during startup, I have not found myself without speech, but perhaps once or
twice since I had a 3GS.

vibrate while booting otherwise.

RE: iPhone 5 and power up vibration

2012-09-21 Thread Daniel Miller
Let me correct my earlier post. My iPhone 4S does not vibrate at all during
startup on battery power, even when the switch is set to mute.

If that is so, then a nice feature. Of course something I asked for a while
ago and surely could be implemented in software. Well darn guess I'll have
to upgrade at some point. :)

ah, having now turned it off and then back on again without the USB lead in,
I'm afraid my original hope is wrong, the vibration on power up is only when
its plugged in.

Can you write back when it's on battery and give your results? I'm really
curious, now, since if that's the case, that's an awesome way to know the
phone's booting.

none of my old iPhone's, 3GS, 4 nor 4S ever vibrated when on power and
powering them up, none of them.

so, first thing to say is that the iPhone 5 when on power definitely does.

I will not unplug my iPhone 5 from power for a good few hours yet as I
like

to give them a good first charge.

Hi,

Actually, previous generations vibrated when powering up, but you had
to have them plugged in. If the iPhone 5 vibrates on startup on
battery, yes, that's awesome.

This will please some, I have my new iPhone 5 64gb here, when powering
it up, it now does that thing many of us like, it vibrates.

This is not an iOS6 feature, this is iPhone5.
