I guess I need to play with Bible gateway more. I found it a bit cluttered for my taste, and if you wanted to browse the bible books instead of doing a search, I found that difficult. The Bible Gateway still is a bit clunky to me when it comes to actually getting verses up quickly ... but I confess I don't know or use it as often as the YouVersion. Notifications - Re: uVersion bible app?
I was receiving lots of notifications from them. I went to Settings on the home page of my phone, and then to Bible, and turned off notifications. That seems to have helped. I've never received email from them. OK, this is really for Sharonda and I did write earlier, but have now checked out a couple of things to see if they still work. You still do double tap the verse(s) you want to select. From there you look on the lower right part of the screen for an Action button. Double tap and From there you can copy, email, etc. I did try to copy both consecutive verses and a few verses not being consecutive. It looked as though it should work just the same as I could get clarification of the verses I had selected. . However, once I had left the app, intending to paste that which I'd copied to clipboard, there appeared to be nothing there. I don't have time to play any more today but hope this gives you an idea to try out. \let me know of your success, or otherwise. They certainly havfe got a pretty smart app now at Bible Gateway, which wasn't always the case. I flit between the two, depending on what I want to do. I often do my searches via Gateway. Don't have time to play around enough to say just what works and does not on either, sadly, as I need to get on with using it for its purpose, as I need right then, before doing something else completely different; but maybe, when I get time to play on my phone, I may do some testing of features on both. I've not tried that yet. as for email notifications maybe you cold alter that from withinthe ap on your profile or maybe through the website through your profile again logging in. I myself have few email notifications from uverssion well, not true I have a few but, maybe next time I'll look at the email before deleating it.
