Duane, The Dropbox link that is pasted in an email when you are sharing a download link with another is created by a Dropbox algorithm and the default 0 at the end of that link has nothing to do with the filename. You still have to edit the link in your email and change the 0 to a 1 to change the executable action from playing the file to prompting you to save the file. When I'm sharing a Dropbox file, I don't bother using Notepad to alter the 0 to a 1. I simply copy the Dropbox link and paste it into my Outlook email and edited it in Outlook before sending the message. If you changed that zero to one in the file itself, would it do the same thing without having to cut and paste it back and forth? Just wondering. alternatively, if one has the dropbox app, one can double tap and hold, then select "share" from the menu that should come up, then select "export file" then find the option that suits you best. I only just found this out yesterday, and it enabled me to at long last, get a bunch of videos from my pc on to my iPhone, that I have been trying to get on to it for over 2 years now.
