Go to settings general pass code lock then toggal it to off.

Removing Password To Unlock

Hi,
My friends IPhone 4s asks for a password to be put in every time the phone is 
unlocked, turned on, or you go into change something in settings, can this be 
turned off?  I went into where you would normally turn passwords off in 
settings/general,passcode lock, but the button to disable the passwords is 
dimmed, am I missing something?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. You have to enter the password before you can make changes to the 
passcode lock.

Hi Chris,
You have to enter passwords to unlock the phone, to go into pass code, in 
general settings, but in there, the button to disable the phone asking for 
pass codes is dimmed.  It is not asking for any further codes to activate 
the dimmed button.  So if anyone has any ideas, it would be appreciated.
