Re: Screen curtin and VoiceOver
Hello, A three finger double tap turns speech on and off. You are probably doing a double tap with three fingers instead of a tripple tap. The next time this happens all you need to do is do a three finger tripple tap to turn speech back on. The solution if it is a problem is to assign screen curtain to a different gesture, maybe try to use the double back tap for it. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Flor Lynch Sent: December 5, 2021 3:12 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Screen curtin and VoiceOver Double-tap with 3 fingers turns off Speech, not VoiceOver. RE: Screen curtin and VoiceOver
Hi Kelly, I know you have owned iPhones for some time, but you must not be doing the 3-finger triple tap which turns screen curtain on or off precisely enough. I assume when you say Voiceover gets turned off that it gets muted which happens after a 3-finger double tap. If you do two 3-finger taps and fail to do the third rather quickly you will mute Voiceover instead. Another 3-finger double tap will unmute it again and there are times when I want to turn screen curtain on or off and this also happens to me because maybe I don't do the gesture smartly enough. In this case I unmute Voiceover again and try the triple tap again. I believe you can disable calling 911 with the side button, once again, you have to press it 5 times quickly whereas turning Voiceover on/off is a triple press. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Kelly Pierce Sent: December 5, 2021 3:00 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Screen curtin and VoiceOver I am a recent owner of an iPhone 13 Mini. Kelly: As Flora said, the three finger double tap does not turn voice over off, just stops speech temporarily until you do another three finger double tap. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. Re: Screen Curtin and VoiceOver
Kelly: To turn voice over speech off is a three finger double tap. Screen curtain is a three finger triple tap. Just do a three finger double tap to toggle speech off and on. You don't have to hit the side button. As for assigning another gesture, someone else will have to comment. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
