Yes, I have the MagSafe battery from Apple, as well as the one from Anker. The anchor battery seems to charge it much quicker, but it charging cable is USB-C. The Apple battery uses a lightning cable.Both are great for extra power during the day. That said, I haven’t needed it as much with my 14 Pro because of the larger battery capacity. There are several options for MagSafe batteries, not sure what you mean by "smart" batteries. FWIW, I have a 14 Pro, for about a week now. The first couple days, I was concerned about the battery life, however, with setup etc., my usage wasn't probably typical for me. In the past couple days, it has settled down, and the battery life is considerably better than my XR.
