Hello Wren, If the app works the way it did a couple of years ago when I first tried it when 8 books were offered free the opening screen has pictures of what I think are book covers of the books in the library. You can touch or double tap the book you want to read and it will open. As I recall I could read text after the book was open but that was it. I had the books in other forms so I didn't pursue it. Have you tried writing to their support email? If the buttons aren't labeled, you might start by letting them know and see if they could make the app more accessible to VoiceOver users.
