Re: The oddest thing
Several months ago, I did 30 of the reboots in a row. I got the problem to strike twice during those 30 reboots. The problem is extremely rare, and Apple has not yet been able to reproduce it. It does not happen on every iPhone. My iPhone 4 never had it happen. So, for this one, it is an extremely obscure little bug. Re: The oddest thing
Yes I did and it wasn't. This has happened to me a couple of times now and its not fun. One cause I believe was the installation of firee2. That app has caused me to lose voiceover more times then I can count with only configure universal access in iTunes to restore voiceover. Haven't used firee2 in a good while though and this happened for no apparent reason I can see. Strange I know. Hi Sieghard. Thanks for the suggestions. I did plug in a headset; no sounds. I tried the three finger double tap, nothing. RE: The oddest thing
Hi Don, When this happened, did you try to see if Voiceover was there with a headset? I don't think I ever had Voiceover quit on me to the point where I had to do a restore via iTunes to get it back as it mostly is an issue of the volume going to 0 and this seems to happen more often if you use a dock. There are different volume controls internally for the external speaker, a headset or when it is plugged in to a dock and I've seen it where Voiceover was fine when the phone was on the dock and as soon as you took it off there was nothing because Voiceover volume for the external speaker had dropped to 0.
