it's not an app, it's a mac or windows program. in my case, the windows
version. I couldn't get anything out of it, either with window-eyes, or
nvda.

Hi Simon,
Because you say Waltr2 is not accessible, may I please ask you why you say
this? The reason I am asking this, I was thinking about purchasing the app,
as from my understanding, it was quite accessible with voiceover. Although,
I've never used the app.

Actually, Waltr2 and iMazing can transfer ringtones to an iPhone, but they
are not free applications.
I haven't tested this lately, but it used to be super simple with iTunes, a
simple copy and paste.
1. Connect your iPhone to the PC and open iTunes
2. Go to your iPhone button, activate it, then tab into the treeview which
starts with "Summary" and go all the way down to Tones
3. Tab a few times until you are in the list of tones
4. If you already copied a ringtone to your clipboard just paste it in with
Control + V, it will sync automatically and instantly. If you haven't copied
a tone yet, just open an Explorer window, go to the folder where you have
your ringtones, copy one to the clipboard, Alt + Tab back to iTunes and
paste it in.

Hi Richard,
Ok, this is good to know. I did think Walt2 would transfer in both directions,
meaning from the PC to the phone, and from the phone to the Pc, so now, I know.
Thank you.

Well, if you just want something to transfer things from the PC to the iPhone
or iPad, WLTR2 seemed accessible to me using Jaws 2019.
I copied a song over and not only did it work, but it added the album title
which I did not have in the meta-data.
Imazing, is supposed to allow transfering things in both directions, but at
least the free trial seems much less accessible than I was expecting.
I found iMazing just by doing a web search for it. I searched for something
like, imazing alternative iTunes.

How does one easily transfer ringtones from a Windows 10 PC to the
iPhone? I have m4r files in the folder Automatically Transfer to
iTunes folder. I’m using the latest version of iTunes, but there’s
nothing automatic about the transfer. As in, there’s no transfer. I’ve
made sure I’ve got Tones highlighted. I’ve manually added the files to
my Library. I’ve tried adding the tones directly to the device.
Nothing seems to work.

Can someone explain in completely dumb layman’s version how to get
this accomplished? I’d like to know if it’s possible not to use iTunes
as well in case anyone has an accessible method.

Thanks all,

Joe

Transferring Ringtones From PC to iPhone

2019-10-25 Thread Joe Orozco
I despise iTunes, and while it is not very Christian of me to say so,
I genuinely wish it would die.

OK, I only slightly feel better... :)

Thanks all,

Joe
