Re: Using Twitterific to follow someone.

2021-07-30 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello Terri,

Open the side menu in the top left of the screen.
Navigate down to the search option.
A new screen will open with a search field at the top of the screen. Type in
the field after activating it.
Press the People tab under the search field and then press the search/done
button in the bottom right hand corner of the keyboard.

This should give you a list of possible matches.

Re: Getting Ads In Twitterific

2016-11-03 Thread Greg Wocher

Hello,

I had this happen to me as well wehn I installed it onto my iPhone 7
plus. The option to restore your purchase is in there somewhere. I don't
think it was in the settings though. It was in one of the other options
you get when you open up the sidebar.

Regards,

Greg WOcher

Thanks.

Hey guys,

Is there any way to bring up a list of who i am following with
twitteriffic, and who is following me? I can't find it anywhere.
When i bring it up in the native twitter app, it seems to lock up. Any

RE: continuing issue with twitter and twitterific

2016-09-05 Thread M. Taylor
Hello David,

I recommend that you (1) login to your Twitter account via a web browser and
(2) check your app permission settings.

Once you're logged into Twitter, from within the Settings area, you will see an
area labeled Apps. In the Apps area you will see all of the apps that have
permission to use your account. From within this area you can revoke, or
modify the type of permission each app is granted.

Worse case scenario, revoke permissions from troublesome apps and then, grant
those permissions later, from within the specific app.

For example, if I could not tweet from the Twitterific app, on my iPhone, I
would go into my Twitter account and completely revoke the Twitterific app's
permission. Then , if necessary, I would remove the ap from my phone. Next, I
would re-install the app and, at the prompt , grant the app permission to
access my account.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Mark

In the past I have written that both apps on my Iphone 6 plus would not allow
me to tweet simultaniously.
Now I find I cannot tweet on twitterific, and when I open the native twitter
app, it shows a connect button.
When I activate the button I am then able to tweet on the native app, but not
on twitterific.
What does the connect button mean? How could the native app be disconnected?
Any ideas, advice is. appreciated.

Can't answer your first question because I haven't purchased the app
yet, I'm still using the free version which doesn't offer push
notifications. But as far as your second question, while in the app,
double tap in the status bar area and it will take you to the top of
your twitter feed and even refresh content for you. The status bar area
would be where your time and signal stuff is. It's pretty cool how this
works. Android didn't really have anything like this where you could use
it universally in different apps to take you to the top and even refresh.

Re: Twitterific: a few questions from a new user

2016-07-21 Thread Gordon
I'll take a stab at answering your first question after thinking about
it for a second. In the free version there is an add that shows at the
top of the screen. Once you move past that you begin to see your twitter
feed. I'm thinking that the push notifications option in your paid
version could be in the place of where our ad is in the free version. I
can't be sure about this, but it could be the case if you see your
twitter feed under that. If that's the case you might have to enable
push notifications to get rid of it.

trouble with twitterific

2015-10-14 Thread Christina C.
Hello

1. When I open the app and I am on the home screen, I am at some random date
that is far away. Sometimes this date is always the same place as last time
even though I have already read earlier dates.

2. I can’t flick through the tweets. VO just gets stuck and won’t say anything.

3. Also, Vo just seems to get stuck and won’t work at all. Then i have to close
the app and start over again.

4. Things just seem very unstable and quirky overall.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, need to uninstall and re-install
the app, or if these are problems everyone else is having. I’d appreciate any
info on my problems. I am running iOS 8.4 and I was having these issues before
any updates that twitterific did for iOS 9.

Thanks,
Christina

I haven't used it for a little while but the last I knew, you could just place
two fingers around the centre of your screen and that would focus you on the
last read message. Do try it out!

Hi,

I installed IOS 9 on my IPhone 6 along with the latest version of Twitterific.
When I open Twitterific or return to it when it is already open, focus is at

Twitterific Question

2015-08-07 Thread Chris Smart

Does anybody know if it is
possible to have Twitterific search for and display all tweets containing
certain text, such as a particular hash tag, displaying them in a
separate list?
For example, I can do this on the PC in Chicken Nugget. During severe
weather events, particular news events etc. I can search for a hash tag,
and see everything containing that hash tag come in, in its own
timeline.
thanks
Chris

Re: Twitterific Question

2015-08-07 Thread Traci Duncan
My suggestion would be search for the hashtag you want, then save it as a saved
search. It’ll show up as an option on the menu. I have a few hashtag searches
saved.

Then you can always set it for one of the top tabs, as discussed earlier. Tap
hold on one of the top tabs, until an list of options appears. Select your
saved search, to replace the tab above.

Hope this helps,
Traci

Re: Twitterific navigation

2015-07-27 Thread Penny Reeder
There may be a quicker method, but this is what I do. Tap twice on the
Sidebar button, then tap twice on the Home button. Then turn VO off
(to make the refresh move more quickly), and use three fingers several
times to quickly scroll down, to get to the top of the first page of
tweets and the first tweet. Hope I explained this well enough.

Re: Twitterific navigation

2015-07-27 Thread Mary Otten
The most efficient way I know of to get to the top and refresh the timeline is
to double tab on the status bar at the top of the phone’s screen, you know,
where the battery charge, network statuses etc are located. Then either find
the first message and do a 3-finger flick down to refresh. When I open
twitteriffic, I find that it does a refresh. So this step of flicking down to
refresh doesn’t usually give me anything new unless I’ve been looking at
messages and want to go back to the top and force a refresh after reading in my
time line for a while. Hope that made sense.

Apparently, you do not use the www to get to their support page where you can
create an account etc.

It is just:

Well, theydo not make it easy to contact them.

You have to go to the www.support.iconfactory.com
http://www.support.iconfactory.com web site, create an account, then you can
start a discussion that will go to the support team or you can start a
discussion on their public forum.

The good thing about the way Twitterific (or the IconFactory) handles the
captia is great. They call it humanverify and ask a question instead of having
an image you have to figure out.

I just tried. If you double tap and hold on your account, it does wiggle, but

I had my sighted wife look and the x was there, but not according to voiceover.

Once she tapped the x, the options to clear cache, delete the account or cancel
came up.

I am going to try and send them feedback on this.

I suggest anyone using Twitterific do the same so they know it isn't just one
user's issue.

Secondly, I read in the help section of Twitterrific's settings about cleanning

2014-11-24 Thread Wayne Merritt
The in-app purchases are probably to unlock other features of the app.
The help file/area may have more information, or at least the app's
page on the App store. If you go to the app store entry and find the
in-app purchases item, double tap, a page should come up listing
everything that the purchases enable you to do.

RE: twitterific and such

2014-11-24 Thread Merv Keck
Hi,

Twitterific has several flavors and the in app purchase is for the full
version that has a full set of features. It is only about a dollar more US
and it is well worth having for iPhone users. They are very responsive to
blind customers and the app is very user friendly. I love Chicken Nugget,
however, sometimes I find myself using Twitterific since updating to Jaws
sixteen just because my laptop with six gigs of ram and a hybrid drive on
windows 7 64 bit tends to take too long to type out tweets during a
particularly busy time of day such as Sunday afternoons or Monday evenings.

When you download Twitterific the first time it tells you what the extra
cost will get you and offers you the opportunity to purchase or continue.

Hope that helps,

Merv

Twitterific question on loading new tweets

2014-09-18 Thread Cristóbal
Hello list,

A question regarding the Twitterific iOS app.

Currently, when I want to load more tweets, I have to listen for a tweet
that may say load more items' or tweets or whatever at the end of the tweet
and double tap that tweet to then select the load more option.

This is of course problematic as one can easily miss the tweet with the load
more items at the end of the tweet text. Is there in fact a way or setting
to have the load more option show up on it's own line similar to how the
official Twitter app does or even in TweetList4 does with the fetch more
tweets text?

My preference is TweetList4, but the crashing is becoming way too frequent
and all indications are that the app has been abandoned by the developer. So
no chance of getting it fixed.

I like the Twitter app, but the one major issue I'm still having is that
when you load more items, you're always put at the newer tweet and not where
you previously were. It's supposed to support TweetMarkrer, but my
experience is that it doesn't work.

Anyway, Twitterific seems very solid, but the loading more tweets thing is
what I'd like to figure out or at least know how others do it so that they
know where to locate the tweet with the load more text at the end of the
particular tweet.

Thanks,

Twitterific question and loading more items

2014-09-06 Thread Cristóbal
Hello list,

A question with Twitterific, when I am in either the home timeline or one of
my various lists and I have a large number of tweets to catch up with, the
load more items options is only announced at the end of a tweet making it
incredibly difficult to know whether the stream of tweets has a gap in
tweets. I know one can engage the particular tweet with the load mor eitems
text at the end of the tweet and the load more is an option to double tap.
Is there a way or setting to have the load more items to show up on its own
line similar to how it is in TweetList4 or the official Twitter app to make
it easier to know when tweets are missing and need to be loaded? That or how
are folks doing it so that they don't miss out on unloaded tweets? I want to
say that this wasn't an issue before in earlier versions or maybe I did
something in the settings. Either way, I'd like to know.

Thanks,

Re: Question About Twitterific and Twitter

2014-05-28 Thread Alex Hall
That's the idea - it will go to the last tweet you read, so you can keep
reading, in order, from there. If you want to start from the top, simply touch
any of the buttons on the top (Home, Mentions, messages, Compose, etc) and
flick right. This is for Twitterrific - I don't know about the main Twitter app.

Tapping the middle of the screen works well if you haven’t received too many
tweets since you last looked at Twitter. But if you have received a lot of
tweets, Tweetlist will not have loaded them all and this is where the jump to
unread feature comes in very handy.

Re: losing my place in twitterific 5

2013-11-13 Thread Wayne Merritt
Another way to do this is by touching the middle of the screen in
TweetList. This has worked most often for me when starting where I
have left off before. It doesn't always work, especially when
TweetList is in the process of updating my timeline, but in these
cases I go away and come back to it some time later. I also did not
know the triple tap on the Home tab trick, pretty nifty. Will have to
try that sometime.

2013-11-13 Thread Joanne Chua
Thanks Jonathan for the tripple tap tip on TweetList. Before this, i
prefer Twitter official app itself, but lately, the app is getting
annoying. Been trying with Twitterrific and Tweetlist. May say though,
i use both in different way. I found that Tweetlist is best to do list
and to follow a hashtag, while twitterrific is good for the speed and
individual twits

Re: losing my place in twitterific 5

2013-11-09 Thread Yvonne Thomson

The other thing to make sure you do is tap one finger in the middle of the
screen when you get back from reading a web page. It should speak the tweet
you were on or at least be close to it. Then you can go back to flicking.

This doesn't always work but it does most of the tine for me.

Re: how to DM using twitterific 5

2013-08-21 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi, because of security tokens used between Twitter and the various
apps, you have to sometimes sign out and then back in from the
Twitterific app. Then your DMs will work. To send a DM, start a new
tweet via the compose button, put the letter D followed by a space
followed by the tweet user name and then your private DM. Hit send and
bingo, a dm has now been set.

Twitterific

2013-06-05 Thread David Gross
I am new to the twitter world. On advice from this list, I downloaded
Twitterific. I am now following a number of national sports writers. I have
only attempted to send a couple of tweets. I debated deleting the original
twitter app from my Iphone 4s now that I had Twitterific. However, a
problem I am finding is if I get a tweet that is linked to a article, or
audio clip, more often than not Twitterific will not open it. I have to go
to the original Twitter to do this. Why??

Any help/advice is appreciated.

I also use Twitterific and have no problems with it opening links. You have
to double tap on the tweet and then tap on the link in the list there. It
is usually above the reply, message and retweet buttons.

a question to twitterific users

Hi folks,
Does anyone know how to follow a twitter user using twitterific? I searched in
every possible corner of this app and I could not find a place to do so. Unless
this user is already included in one of the tweets of the people I am already
following. Suppose you give me your twitter name and ask me to follow you, and
I want to do this rightaway on the iPhone, without having to wait until I go
home and search your name on the pc. How do I do that? Twitterific is a nice
program, but this feature is either missing or hidden. Please correct me if I
am wrong

Thanks a lot for your help

Cris
