RE: iPhone SE wifi issue

Well, sometimes things happen and a router reboot will fix it. If I have any
network issues of any sort this is the first thing I do.

I tried resetting the network settings on the Phone to no avail. So I finally
had to unplug the modem/router. I think it is ridiculous because all my other

If you have already rebooted your router I would go to Settings > General >
Reset and do a Reset Network Settings.
This will reboot your phone in the process, then reconnect to your WiFi, but
keep in mind that this will forget all your WiFi networks so you do have to
enter the correct WiFi password.
Also, if you have named your iPhone something like “Michael’s iPhone” you have
to go to Settings > General > About and at the very top rename it again,
resetting network settings changes whatever you called your iPhone before to
simply “iPhone”.
Apart from these two things it doesn’t change anything, but all your radios are
reset in this process and it often solves a lot of issues one wouldn’t even
think.

Subject: iPhone SE wifi issue

Hello Listers,

I have an iPhone SE latest iOS. This morning about 20 minutes ago, my phone
said that it is not connected to my wifi network. I turned off the phone for
30 seconds. When I turned it back on it still didn't connect. I then tried
going to my wifi settings . I found my wifi network tried putting in my
password. It said that I had the wrong password for my network. Of course
this is not true. I have had this same thing happen in the past with my iPhone
4s and 5s. Usually once I unplug the modem/router every thing is okay. All my
other devices have internet. It is not the internet it is the phone it self.
Any help would grately be appreciated

Wifi issue and now iPhone assistance if possible please

2013-06-07 Thread Shane Clark
Hello all,
Well, it seems as though I've gotten my Wi-Fi issue taken care of. I went to
the Apple store on Monday, and showed them what was going on, and they were
able to replace my for S with another one.
However, now I'm having another problem That I've encountered. On Saturday with
the old phone, when trying to restore and update to the newest software, my
phone just Turned back on at the login screen, but I never could get it to go
past that particular screen. My Wi-Fi issue wasn't solved either, because I
still never could connect. So, I plugged the phone up to the PC using iTunes,
still could never get past the First screen. So last night, when I plug this
new phone up to my computer to try to restore the apps and data from the older
phone, all of my apps restored fine. However, I thought that I would get my old
text messages back and videos as well, but I didn't. What I did was, found this
current phone in the sources menu, then restore from the backup which I found,
but it said that this phone that I have now was running an older version of
software and the only way to do a restore or a backup, was to update to 6.13
Then I could do a restore. The phone updated to the current Apple software, but
none of my videos, settings as in the way my apps were positioned on the phone,
or text as I said earlier have been found. So, did I do something wrong that
I'm not aware of? My older phone was jailbroken, but I don't see where that
would have any reason to not let me get my videos and text back, but correct me
if I'm wrong.
Any assistance with this is greatly appreciated, thanks.

RE: Wifi issue and now iPhone assistance if possible please

2013-06-07 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Shane,

Unfortunately I have to leave it to Jailbreakers to explain what effect
Jailbreaking has on what is restored or not, but a restore will not put back
any media as that is synced, not backed up. Here is what Apple says about
backups:

iTunes can back up your settings, Messages, Camera Roll, documents, saved
games, and other data. Backups do not contain content synced to the device,
such as movies, music, podcasts, and apps.

Here is the link to all of that:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946

I find that sometimes I had to restore a second time after doing a software
update before my home screen layouts and all of that was restored.

Good luck,
Sieghard

Hi,
I'm still having trouble with my Wi-Fi, as it is continued to be grayed out.
VoiceOver just says Wi-Fi dimmed off, and I can't turn it on, or Wi-Fi will
come on, and I'm not able to join my network. I think it may be an internal
issue, maybe with the antenna. I think I'm also at the point of having to
take it down to the Apple store sometime this upcoming week to have it
replaced. However, before I do, is there something else I can try before
taking it to the store? I've reset network settings, and all settings as
well as done a soft reset of the phone.

Thanks, Shane.

Wifi issue

Hello,
On my fiancées iPhone 5, she has Wi-Fi. However in the last couple hours, on my

What could be causing this and what can I try to resolve this?
