Re: Saving Voice Mail Messages Question Please.

2024-03-24 Thread Richard Turner
I just did a little experiment. I shared a voice mail to Voice Dream Reader. I
went back to the voice mail, had VO say the number, date, and length of the
voice mail and did the quadruple 3 finger tap to copy that to the clipboard
then went back to Voice Dream and selected rename file and replaced the name
with the phone number etc, then added the name of the caller and double tapped
on OK. So now I have the entire voice mail, the date and and who it was.

Very slick.

Hi Ron,

You save the audio, but not the original Voice Mail Message, meaning with the
phone number where it came from, the date ETC?
Do you know if you wanted to forward that same message to another email
address, could you?

Hi Janet,

You may not be asking for the audio, but I regularly save audio versions of my
voice mails that are left on my Spectrum Phone account.
I am able to look under voice mail under the iPhone app and see a copy of the
message. If I swipe up once, I get a menu one item of which is share. If I
share, one of the options is to send it to voice memos. When I do this, I can
see the voice memo in audio format listed in the voice memo app with a
hexadecimal type title (series of numbers and letters.) I can then edit the
name by double tapping on the name field and deleting the default and replacing
it with something recognizable.

Hi Jody,
When you say tap the name which name are you talking about?
So, you save the voice mail messages to the Voice Memos, I’m assuming if the
message is saved to the Voice Memos, one could listen to the message, and if
need be, one can forward that same voice Mail Message to another email address?
Thank you so much.

Now that I have my voice mail messages back, I Want  to save them to my notes folder.

I don’t want to lose those messages again.
Can someone please tell me how to save the messages to my notes folder, so I can retrieve them to read in the future, or if I want to send them to an email address?

Thank you all in advance.

Phone Messages Question Please.

2023-02-13 Thread janet gross
Hi Everyone,
When I first updated to iOS 16.2, I lost all my recent phone messages, I had
to erase my XR phone, and got all my recent phone messages back from iCloud
back up. Ok now, I recently noticed I lost those phone messages again. Any
ideas how to stop losing my phone messages, and how can I now get them back
again? I looked in messages through the settings I don't see any setting to
keep my messages forever like I use to see before, or am I confusing this
setting with another setting?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Janet

RE: Text Messages Question

2022-03-16 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Have you restarted your iPhone after the update, i.e. close all apps in the app
switcher, turn the phone off, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on?
I noticed a few quirks after the update, but after restarting my phone
everything seems to work again.

everything else that goes on wrong with Siri.

Thanks so much for all your assistance everybody it worked like a charm. I
tried it in the middle like some people suggested but I guess it’s more on the
right hand side of the screen but regardless it worked that’s what’s most
important. Thank you again.

This is my experience with doing that. It may be easier than this, but here
goes:
Adding a contact from a text message

Open the text message.

Then double tap on the phone number.
Then, double tap on the phone number again.
Then flick right to the info button and double tap.
You have to then double tap again on the number before you find the create

RE: Messages question for when you want to send a message to someone using the iPhone.

2021-03-17 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
This has actually changed in iOS 14. All I have to do is tap on the phone
number at the top in the middle, then find the Info button, double tap on it
and instead of double tappig on the phone number again, the next screen has
another Info button, tap it again and then the options to create a new contact
or add to an existing contact will come up.

This is my experience with doing that. It may be easier than this, but here
goes:
Adding a contact from a text message

Open the text message.

Then double tap on the phone number.
Then, double tap on the phone number again.
Then flick right to the info button and double tap.
You have to then double tap again on the number before you find the create
contact option where it usually shows up.

Hello all,

So like say yesterday a friend texted me with her phone number so with this

you do with the phone when somebody calls you?

Now don’t ask me how this happened, last week somehow I got into it in the

Hope I didn’t confuse you with my explanations. Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried navigating to the “Edit” button, choosing select messages,

Agreed.
Maybe they will consider adding an option to not have to confirm…

Time will tell.

Thanks for posting that, richard. Their suggested workaround is actually more
work than just the extra tapping on the delete button to confirm. I guess it
would be OK if you had a whole bunch to delete it once. But I always read and
either act on and/or delete each one, I guess I don’t get that many.

RE: a messages question

2014-08-08 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Turn off your phone and turn it back on, make sure you empty the app
switcher before you do this and wait about 30 seconds after you double
tapped to turn off the phone before turning it back on.
If that doesn't clear it up then they are probably there somewhere.

Regards,
Sieghard
