Hi,

I still can't get the hang of using auto-correct.  When I tap the word I 
want, I never see it as being corrected when I read the text back.  Is it 
better to use predictive?  That doesn't seem to work for me either.  Any 
help would be greatly appreciated.

The  best way I use audo  correct is to first type the word. 
Next  press the delete button until the iPhone makes the sound telling you you 
have a misspelled word. 
Then swipe left or right to the suggestion that you want and then double tap. 
Have you tried that?

Auto correct will take a word you misspell and try to change it to what it 
guesses you meant to say. Predictive typing, on the other hand, looks at what 
you're typing as you type it. It makes a guess about what word you are trying 
to type, letting you tap the word once you see it. I've been able to write 
several words in a row just by typing a letter or two, then double tapping the 
correct word. In short, auto correct kicks in after you finish a word, or when 
you are near the end; predictive typing is always on, trying to guess the word 
you're going for so you don't need to finish typing it.

Braille Gestures Toggling off Auto-Correct

Hi everyone, has anyone else found that after inputing text in Braille, 
auto-correct for the standard virtual keyboard has been set to off? It's 
necessary for me to go back into Settings, General, Keyboard to turn it back on 
again.
This could be related to the other problem I posted last night, but thought I'd 
check if this is happening to anybody else.

Braille Gestures Toggling off Auto-Correct

Yes, I've been meaning to post to the list about this too. It was driving me 
crazy until I figured it out. Even just landing on it with the rotor toggled it 
off for me.

Overriding Auto Correct

I missed iOS 101 and cannot remember how to override an auto correct. Four 
instance, I was trying to type the author Arjourni, but iOS just knew I meant 
around.

A quick refresher will be most appreciated!

Actually Eric,
When you're typing the word Arjourni, and VO wants to correct it to
around, flick down and VO will say the suggested word. Double-tap
that. Now when you press space, the word you want will be retained.

iOS 7 and auto correct with bt keyboard problem

Hi all,

Can anyone help me with autocorrect in iOS 7? I have trouble accessing 
suggestions when using the bt keyboard. I complete a word and hear it is 
misspelled. I used to backspace and hear a short sound and could use quick nav 
to go to auto corrections menu. Now I hear no sound and don't see any menu. I 
also have autotext speaking turned on but don't get anything. 

Anyone has a workaround?
