Re: Identifi App No Longer Available

2019-08-27 Thread Richard Turner
Yes, so it isn't a 32 bit app.
So, who knows.
It could be that other apps did what he was doing better, or something. Or
maybe he just changed focus.
Too bad.

The app doesn't save pictures. If you want to keep a picture just take the
picture first with the Camera app and then use iDentify to import and recognize
it.

Does TapTapSee still just give you a limited number of shots before you have
to pay to get more or have they removed that? I had deleted the app as I
could only take 25 pictures before I had to buy more.

Try it with Tap Tap See, you may find you get the same or a very similar
result. Everything I tried whether it was taking a picture of a product
or
letting it look at pictures in my camera roll came back similarly with
Tap
Tap See. I am not trying to put down iDentifi, I think this young man
did

a great job, but I am just pointing out that Tap Tap See also does a
pretty good job.

Hello,
I was also really impressed with this app. I took a picture of my sons

Male hand holding a gold XBox360 wireless controller.
That absolutely amazed my Son and I.

Re: iDENTIFI APP

2016-12-01 Thread Rajmund
Well, I had thunderbird open, it read the highlighted mail's subject, who it
was from, and half of the body. I'll do it again, just to confirm. It garbled
one or 2 words, but it read who the message was from, when it was sent, and a
few words from the actual body. It's a 13 inch laptop, and can't exactly aim it
accurately with sighted help. It appears if it's dark, it's better. But since
the app is keep throwing out the phone, I'll try the iPad as well.

IPad gave back, "You think it was more than a". No garbling at all. Now, turned
on lights, laptop in the same position. After having to turn on focus, (without
focus, in light I got nothing) it read an entire sentence, clearly. Except that
Daniel faded out, and that is the British voice. I would say to try it, it is
certainly extremely useful.

Re: iDENTIFI APP

2016-12-01 Thread Rajmund
Hello Sieghard,
Please, point TAPTAPSEE against an opened computer screen, and point identifi,
and report back your results? TAPTAPSEE told me it was an opened laptop lid.
Identifi pretty much scanned, and read half of the screen to me, which matched
with what NVDA saw. Because of that, if we use speech on our devices, but the
one where the app is, this app can rescue us, just by pointing it at a screen,
changing it to text, and send off the image.

RE: iDENTIFI APP

2016-12-01 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Try it with Tap Tap See, you may find you get the same or a very similar
result. Everything I tried whether it was taking a picture of a product or
letting it look at pictures in my camera roll came back similarly with Tap Tap
See. I am not trying to put down iDentifi, I think this young man did a great
job, but I am just pointing out that Tap Tap See also does a pretty good job.
