iOS 6 ringtone Bug
Hello, It seems as though that I have been bitten by one of the iOS 6 bugs. I have just discovered that I am unable to change my ringtone from the default Mirimba tone and it is beginning to get on my last nerve. Is there anyone on this list that has been able to resolve this issue? If so, would you please let me know how to resolve this on my iPhone 4S? RE: iOS 6 ringtone Bug
Hi Scott, I don't have this problem on my iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1. When you bring up the list of ringtones in Settings, Sounds, Ringtone, what happens when you double tap on a ringtone to select it? Does Voiceover say Selected and then when you double tap on Back at the top left of the screen, does it say it uses the ringtone but then when somebody calls it just doesn't? Re: iOS 6 ringtone Bug
That is exactly what is happening and from doing a Google search on my problem I found a Mac World post on what is being called an iOS 6 default ringtone bug. They give some supposed bug fixes and I have tried them all, but my phone will still only use the Marimba default ringtone. Re: iOS 6 ringtone Bug
Yes the ringtones will play on my phone when I double tap on them and VO also says selected, but when I then call my phone from our home phone or from my wife's iPhone, the default ringtone will be the one that plays.
