Re: VoiceOver stuttering [was "Re: please I am in trouble"]
Hi Christopher and all those who wrote and helped me, thank you a lot. I held the home button and the power button together for some seconds and got my phone rebooted now this phone is fine. I didn't no to reboot, I was turning my phone off and on, when ever the voice over was stuttering. at least a few times in a day this would happen, besides, I would press the power button for ten or twelve times then the voice over was clear for half an hour or a little more. it was frustrating me. I appreciate all the help I got. Smiles, Ruby On 11/14/15, Christopher Chaltainwrote: > As others have said, try closing the apps in the App Switcher and > powering off and on your phone. Re: VoiceOver stuttering [was "Re: please I am in trouble"]
I agree, I have had all automatic app download put off. I can't stop the iOs updates getting through, but that is it. I only get the crackle when not shut down or not had app list cleared for ages. So putting it off to start again seems to fix it. I suggest you shut it down the official way by holding Home and Power together until it shuts down. Leave it a minute, then hold Power for a few seconds to get it to start up again. VoiceOver stuttering [was "Re: please I am in trouble"]
As others have said, try closing the apps in the App Switcher and powering off and on your phone. I'd also suggest turning off the automatic updating of apps. I noticed that on my 4S, VoiceOver would stutter when my apps were being updated, so I changed this to just having my apps updated manually. This way I know when I'm using data, and can also update my apps when I won't be using my phone so much. I'm guessing installing apps is pretty CPU intensive, and maybe you're iPhone 5 is struggling to keep up with installing apps in the background and generating synthetic speech in the foreground, just like my 4S does. sOn 11/13/2015 11:51 AM, ruby alphonse wrote: Hi Kimber, I tried that too, I switched of and started my phone, it stays very clear for sometimes then when I make about Five or Six calls or use my braille screne input, then the voice over gets shaky again and acts funny.it stammers, and I don't understand sometimes what it says. RE: please I am in trouble
Pushing home and power together is forcing the phone to reboot. Just turning it off and on would be the first thing I do, but before I would make sure all apps are closed from the app switcher. If that doesn't work, what Rob described may help and if that doesn't help I would once again make sure all apps are closed, then go to Settings > General > Reset and select to Reset Network Settings. my first -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of RobH. Leave it a minute, then hold Power for a few seconds to get it to start up again. I know myold iPad Mini gets the crackles sometimes and have to shut it off to recover. - Original Message - From: "ruby alphonse" <rubyalpho...@gmail.com> To: "viphone" <viphone@googlegroups.com> Sent: Friday, November 13, 2015 9:23 AM Subject: please I am in trouble Hello all, voice over just stammers each time I have to press ten times or more the power button to get the voice over speaking clearly.
