RE: video camera

2016-05-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Fazil,

If you do regular video the back camera is used so you would hold the phone
normally the way you use it with the touch screen facing you. If you turn the
phone around so the back is facing you you can feel a very small little hole in
the back near the top left corner, that is the camera.
If you make a Facetime or Skype video call by default the front camera is used
to that you can once again face the phone normally and use the screen and at
the same time be seen by the other person.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi, Sieghard.
Just a quick question and a silly one I'm sure.
Should the back of my phone or the phone-screen face The thing that I want to
video record?
Thanks!

Yes, you can use the video mode, just open the Camera app, find the “Camera
Mode” control, Voiceover will say this:

Camera mode, Photo, adjustable

Photo is the default, flick down with one finger to change it from “Photo” to
“Video”.
Now the “Take Picture” button at the bottom in the middle (Just above the home
button) turns into a “Record Video” button. Double tap it to start recording,
the button will now become a “Stop Recording Video” button and you can record
as long as your iPhone has space or until you tap the button to stop.
You can also start and stop recording using the volume up button on the side of
the phone or, if you have plugged in the Apple Earpods you can start/stop
recording using the volume up button the in-line remote. You can, by the way,
also take a picture that way. I find that it works really good with pictures
since I can hold the iPhone with one hand and use the other with the Earpods
remote to take the picture without danger I move the iPhone as I tap the button
or press the volume button on the phone.
How long you record is of course up to you, record as long as it takes to
capture whatever event it is you are recording. Keep in mind that if you touch
something on the phone and Voiceover speaks this wwill be heard in the video,
e.g. if you touch the “Stop Recording Video” button then just before the video
stops you will hear Voiceover saying this.

Sieghard

As the old saying goes, "Your home is your castle." Now most of us don't
have anything quite so grand or expansive, with driveways rather than
drawbridges and a manicured lawn instead of a moat. But in the same way
those lords of centuries ago had battlements on high and a portcullis over
their entranceway, the security of our home is important to us. Setting up
one more of these Zmodo 720p Mini Wi-Fi Cameras around your home is a quick
and easy, yet reliable, way to keep an eye on any area of the property when
you can't be there in person. It features a 115° wide-angle field of view
and automatic IR night vision up to 16', but where it really stands out is
with the fact that you can monitor the camera remotely via Wi-Fi from a web
browser or from your smartphone or tablet with the free mobile app. You can
share your camera with your family member’s accounts, plus set the camera
for motion-activated recording and receive forwarded alerts when movement is
detected. Last but not least, the built-in speaker allows for two-way talk,
making it also ideal for use as a baby-monitor or for talking to children or
pets when you're out for the evening. Grab this great deal and be much more
in the know about what's happening around your home when you're not there!

RE: surveillance video camera

2016-03-19 Thread Richard Turner
One of my coworkers found one call Ring Video Doorbell.

It has several versions. I’ve not purchased it but I down loaded the app and
it seems accessible.

It is wired in to your doorbell or I think there is a battery powered version.
But, that would only cover the entrance or wherever you mounted it.

Here is the company’s web site followed by the app store link:

https://ring.com/

The app store link is:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ring-video-doorbell/id926252661?mt=8

I’m sure there are others out there.

Good luck,

Richard

Subject: surveillance video camera

Hi some time back, there was an I phone system that was either on HSN, QVC and
or, this list. I will be leaving to go to my daughter’s home in S. Carolina
for about 2 weeks to visit my new grand daughter. I need to get a
motion/surveillance video recorder that I can monitor with my I Phone. From
what I heard, when someone or something is detected by the monitor video which
can be on a desk or table ect it will alert me and I could call the police or
watch someone taking care of the dogs. Does this ring a bell? Are there any
suggestions? I know I could call Best Buy, Amazon ect but, I am sure not
everything is accessible. Thank you in Advance for any help. Andy and Shubert

Video camera question

2012-11-11 Thread Shane Clark
Hi,
When taking vids with the camera, can you take them for as long as you have
space and as long as you want, or are you limited on each video recording
session?
Also, anyone know how to play Trivia Tunes or have a podcast on it?
Thanks.
