i assume it is a bug in IOS 7. voice-over doesn't read app notifications count inside a folder. Possible bug in face detection announcement
Hi all, in previous versions of ios, in camera app, I used to get face detection reading out number of faces and the face alignment. With ios 7 I couldn't find a way to do it. Is it a bug? When i move apps between pages, the immediate pages are getting skipped. Suppose if i intend to move an app from page one to two, it is getting moved to page 3 or 4. No such problems prior. I tried again only to encounter the same problem. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this issue? I am unsure what causes it so have not been able to deliberately make it happen. If Samsung had only requested monetary compensation in this action, it would have made a much better choice than by trying to achieve, through the pursuit of an injunction, the deactivation or (more realistically) degradation of the voiceover functionality Apple provides to its German customers, he wrote on his blog. The British Computer Association of the Blind said it was worried such an important feature might be threatened. A lack of access to information is arguably the biggest potential barrier to inclusion in society for blind and partially-sighted people, a spokesman told the BBC. If something as important as access to telephone technology had been blocked by the actions of one company over another the consequences for blind people everywhere would be regrettable in the extreme. The Wall Street Journal's AllThingsD tech site was more damning. Leaving aside the ethics of asserting a patent against a feature designed to help the blind, this is unwise, wrote John Paczkowski. It's the PR equivalent of punching yourself in the face. Samsung has now identified itself as a company willing to accept the loss of accessibility for the vision-impaired as collateral damage in its battle with Apple. Hi taking screen shots works sometime and sometimes it results in locking the screen. Performing the command perfectly but sometimes it doesn't work. It is a bug. i tried Viber today and am really satisfied with the accessibility effort they have put in for IOS. i would like to see a couple things getting improved in future updates: 1. the scrub gesture to get back one screen 2. ability to remove unwanted contacts from Viber contact list. I especially love the Fleksy keyboard app a lot. Nothing wrong in having the vest choice. Fleksy had taken the right direction and who knows in a future date it may be merged with ios! It all depends on once choice and persons willing to learn will. Personally the dictation feature of ios is a real nonsense and I always have hard time getting perfect results and Fleksy solved it in an other way for me. I had this happen once when I downloaded the One Touch Camera app, after downloading Voiceover read it as “Camera” just like the iOS Camera app. I renamed it One Touch Camera and the stock ap also had that label. I was rather surprised by that since I assume they use a different icon graphic, in any case, Apple should not allow apps in the app store which have stupid descriptions. The Bank of Montreal app, for example, is simply read as “Banking”. Try to rename it again and do it about 3 or 4 times if it doesn’t take because when I renamed the stock camera app from One Touch Camera back to Camera it only worked after the third attempt. I was, for example, not able to label the “Previous”, Play/Pause” and “Next” buttons in the Sonos multi-room music app. The custom label dialogue comes up, I can delete the existing label which is just a few weird greater than and vertical bar synbols and type in Play/Pause, but when I save it it has no effect. I tried it about 6 times since in some other cases the labels did finally take effect after a second or third attempt. Since at least 3 or 4 other people have had problems with this I must assume that this is not coincidence especially since I was able to label these buttons in the Sonos app without any problems before. Sometimes it take a bit of playing around with TapTapSee to get the desired identification. TapTapSee also has a Focus notification sound that can be turned ON and OFF as desired in the About screen. Once an object comes into focus, the app makes a sound to notify the user that it's in the optimal position to take a photograph. TapTapSee gives the user the ability to take up to three images at a time to be identified. However, the total amount of images taken for identification are unlimited. Sometimes the voice call quality is so bad that I simply turn it off, and put the phone to my other ear when talking. From what I can tell, this one only comes in black. Samsung HM1700. Now this one is almost the same as the M50 I just described above, but with the following differences. It comes with a standard round plug for you ear, which fits me the best. If I use one of the 3 included replacements, then it doesn't fit me as well and I'm constantly adjusting it. Somehow the M50 has this right for my ear, but if your ear is shaped just differently enough, the M50 might not fit right or might cause fatigue, with this 1700 I have the choice of more than one ear plug, and so this might be good for people with this kind of concern. Now, again, if I use the default round one which doesn't stick out at all, it fits in my specific ear just fine with no fatigue, but I do have to adjust it more than the M50. What I like about this one more than the M50 is that the volume is louder. I don't have to have my phone on max volume in order to hear things at a comfortable level. Also, the call/answer button is located on the top edge, not the main body, of co urse, depending on which ear you put this in, it might be the bottom edge. In any case, if I'm on a phone call and need to adjust the things, chances that I will accidentally hang up on my call are less than with the M50 I think. The body of this one is slightly bigger than the M50, so it will be more noticeable, but that is ok with me. The call quality is sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but the same is true for the M50 I think. The Samsung HM1700 comes in different colors if you care about such things. Grey, red, blue, ETC. I got the Blue one because it matches my mood and the color and theme of my phone. Both of the headsets I mentioned above will charge with a micro usb plug. So, it's pretty standard here. Also, both have excellent talk time, and both are small and will easily fit in a small carrying pouch or pocket. Both can be warn on either ear, and both are usually under 30 dollars on Amazon. The only disadvantage might be that it doesn't have the new iPhone five connector. It comes with old connector. You need to charge using usb connector. How to report a problem on purchasd Apps:
hi all, I purchased List recorder In app Upgrade. My I Phone 5 got replaced and i am now trying to restore the purchased app. list recorder doesn't identify my purchased full version and giving an option to buy again. I had the app receipt in my mail. I opened it and clicked on report issue. My Itunes application got opened and prompted to enter my ID and password. After successful sign in, i activated report issue on the Store page corresponding to the app history. it opened an apple support page and i couldn't move from here. there is no option for problem type selection and for entering the problem description.
