burner not working after update
Hello 15 PowerBook 1.5MHz 1GbRAM SuperDrive Since the recent update to 10.3.5 the internal burner won't burn discs. It fails at the beginning. I tried burning with Toast and also from the Finder. Any clues please? Best wishes edward Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. http://au.movies.yahoo.com
compact projection
I have a growing need to use my laptop (G4 ) to do presentations to small groups of people. Can anyone recommend a simple, compact answer that goes in a brief case along with the computer? I am not looking for hi res. bells, whistles, just plain delivery of short power point stuff onto a nearby wall at short range. Bill
[For Sale] iMac Rev D
Hi I'm offering for sale my daughter's iMac (trying to put together some loot to get her into an iBook like her brother). It's a Rev D (tray loading) running at 333 MHz with 160 MB ram. We have OS X 10.3.4 on it at the moment but I think I have various flavours of OS 8.6 - 9.2.2 around here somewhere. It comes with the original keyboard and an Apple Pro mouse. I'd like to get $200 minimum for it otherwise I'll keep it for a spare. A full description of this model is at Lowendmac, http://lowendmac.com/imacs/imac-d.shtml Please call at 9291 3162 or email me if you're interested. Avagoodweekend. Larry

Help with a network problem please
Need some help please -- having had to shut down a network system and disconnecting the power from the Hub, Router, Printer and X Server etc. to my dismay when I started it up again the Network wont work. Shut down sequence: 1. Computers 2. Hub and modem and other peripherals The start up sequence: 1. Started the modem and waited until all 3 lights were on and normal 2. re-connected the Hub (port indicator light flashing (doesn't look normal to me) 3. started the X server Problem: Unable to connect anything on the network, all the Port indicator lights on the Hub are FLASHING continuously at all times, even when everything else is disconnected. I have tried starting in the reverse order with no change. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Regards, Adrian Skehan
Re: Quick question guys
Hello Paul, the superdrive sounds like good value, how much did you pay for installation or did you do it yourself, Cheers Bill On 21/08/2004, at 11:23 AM, Paul wrote: Stewart Woods wrote: Hey guys, Just want to get your opinion on something quickly if ya don't mind. emac super/Combo drive
I have just picked up an emac but it has a CD Rom . I have been in side imacs quite a bit and I want to know what sort of DV drive is correct for an emac -the price of the Pioneer sounds good but is there anything special about type of drive I should consider tom samson
Re: emac super/Combo drive
The eMac will take pretty much any drive... in theory... ie it will run the drive, but fitting it is one very complex job. I replaced an eMac hard drive a while ago, there was something like 25-30 screws involved! And if you do try the swap yourself, don't forget to be careful with the power-on button wire when you pull the back cover off. Regards, Phil I have just picked up an emac but it has a CD Rom .
