Amazing Pics Screensaver???

2009-01-19 Thread Rod Blitvich
Hi
I was at Digilife Osborne Park today.
They had a Mac Pro playing an amazing screensaver.
I figured it was a screensaver because there was no application open in the
dock.
It was using photos which gradually zoomed out, more more photos appeared
to form a mosaic. Then the mosiac becomes a new photo and it all starts over
again.
What a hopeless description!

Please does anyone know what this was, how to get hold of it?

2009-01-19 Thread James Guerrero

Hi Rod,
I believe this is one of the default screen-savers that come with a mac.
You should be able to access it by choosing one of the pictures screen-
savers,
and right under the preview, you should see Display style photo
mosaic is one of the

options. Hope this helps.
Cheers.

2009-01-19 Thread Stephen Chape

Sounds a lot like a standard OSX screensaver that I use.
In System Preferences choose the photo folder you want to use (perhaps
from iPhoto).

Then click the middle Display Style icon for Mosaic.

It actually sounds like the third on the right, rather than the middle
one. It must look really great on a larger screen.

Hi Mac

You could do that

OR

Harvey Norman are selling a Brother Mono Laser HL2140 for $88 before
cashback,

only $68 if you process the cash back.

that's less than a new toner .

Silly isn't it !

I am using the Brother HL 2140 ., it's OSX , not OS9 ( compatible. )

OT Telephone numbers

2009-01-19 Thread Peter Sealy
I am sure that in the last week or so I saw some posts about finding
out the phone number which was connected to a line in a house but you
didn't know the number or have a phone connected to the line. Hope
that makes sense. Someone gave a 13 number and/or a 1800 number I
think which you could dial if you attached a phone to the line.

Of course I didn't keep the posts and my last backup was after I had
trashed and emptied the trash. I have tried the WAMUG archives but no
go. Maybe OT posts don't get archived?

Anyway I would be grateful someone would re-post the answer to the
question.
