Re: IMovie6 problem
I have heard that since Apple released 09 they will no longer support iMovie06. This means that as you install OSX updates, there may come a time when things do not work as they should in iMovie 06. Much to my dismay I have had to migrate to iMovie09 and try to learn the better? but far less intuitive way of editing video. I guess the end result will be improved, but it is certainly not as easy to use or as complete in it's options. Perhaps the problems with incompatible 06 are already beginning !! Re: GMail effective mail filtering
Hi David and WAMUG'ians, Many thanks for these important snippets about gMail. I have to say I am very impressed by its capabilities and what's more it is very fast in retrieving my mail. With time I'll be experimenting on those facilities as the need arise. Thanks for pointing these out. Hopefully others in my predilection will find using GMail convenient. By the way, Safari 3.2.1 (on OS X 10.5.6) does have the toggle to allow me to choose Simple Text formatting. Kind regards, Philippe Chaperon On Sun, Feb 22, 2009 at 10:50 AM, David Noel lis...@aoi.com.au wrote: As an early user of GMail, I'm impressed with the constantly increasing range of extra facilities available. A nice one is 'Chat' - if you are online to GMail at the same time as someone else on your list who has a gmail address, you can chat (type messages) live with them through a chat box which comes up automatically when the sender makes a chat request. We used it several times recently when our boys were in Central America or Iceland and happened to be online (at an internet cafe) at the same time as us. And to this facility, Google have recently added vision capability. If the sender of a chat has a webcam (as built in on all recent iMacs etc), you can see the sender live in a small window at the top of the chat box, and of course they can see you if you wish. The chat box can also be 'popped out' away from the gmail page, and this makes the vision box larger. Must say that I'm using OS X 10.3.9 at the moment. So possibly the latest Safari will not have that problem. Whatever, I'm extremely happy with GMail. As usual the best advice is from WAMUG'ers (or WAMUGgians??). Thanks again, much appreciated. Kind regards and good night to all. Philippe C. Hi Bart, when the iphone is plugged in and showing up in iTunes, by clicking on it, you get a number of tabs for setting the iphone sync preferences. Do your videos show up in under the video tab? There are a range of options there, but any compatible movies will show up and you can choose what to sync. cheers, Susan. On 23/02/2009, at 9:30 PM, Jack Bauer wrote: Hi all.
