movies to iphone
I've downloaded ( from utube) or have various short movies in itunes, which need to be converted to iPhone format ( so I can watch on my iPhone). is there a way of telling if a clip has been converted. When I do the conversion, there is nothing to indicate the change - that I can tell chow -- gary dorn north perth -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml Guidelines - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml Unsubscribe - mailto:wamug-unsubscr...@wamug.org.au
Re: movies to iphone
Hi Gary I am currently using QTPro to do this. I get it to save to my desktop and it shows the file extension as .m4v I then drag the file into iTunes and it's ready to go on iPhone/iPod. After all the Hoo Ha about the evils of Telstra (I've been with Bigpond for several years now and apart from the fact that they are expensive, have never had a problem) I've just signed up with Highway1 who are offering very competitive rates and are Mac sensitive.Just hope I've made a right move! Reliable - yes. No problems or dropouts since installed January 2008. Quality - pretty close to a normal landline. Some cordless phones are better than others - apparently Uniden and Panasonic use frequencies that are similar to the WiFi modem and can cause interference. Some people say I speak with a slight echo. No problems with the incoming voice. I've been with Amnet for a few years now and have had nothing but great service. They're a local company with very competitive rates. Last time I called their support line I got through to a techo with NO waiting - try that with the big boys If anyone is considering signing up or reconsidering ISPs, I can get you $100 credit under their refer-a-friend promo (and me a chance to win an iPod touch :-) woz - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Warren Jones http://homepage.mac.com/warrenj/ -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml Guidelines - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml Unsubscribe - mailto:wamug-unsubscr...@wamug.org.au
Re: re telstra
We have been with Highway1 as our server for years. They are very good with support (our knowledge as well as our needs are pretty basic) and I think I can only remember a couple of occasions when they were down. They even advised us when they thought we were on a plan which was more expensive than we required. Since changing to a Mac , I have found that they have people who specialise in Macs. regards, Jennifer On 07/05/2009, at 11:51 AM, Robert Miller-Eves wrote: After all the Hoo Ha about the evils of Telstra (I've been with Bigpond for several years now and apart from the fact that they are expensive, have never had a problem) I've just signed up with Highway1 who are offering very competitive rates and are Mac sensitive.Just hope I've made a right move!
