movies to iphone

2009-05-06 Thread gary dorn
I've downloaded ( from utube) or have various short movies in
itunes, which need to be converted to iPhone format ( so I can watch
on my iPhone).

is there a way of telling if a clip has been converted.

When I do the conversion, there is nothing to indicate the change -
that I can tell

Re: movies to iphone

2009-05-06 Thread Andrew

Hi Gary
I am currently using QTPro to do this. I get it to save to my desktop
and it shows the file extension as .m4v

I then drag the file into iTunes and it's ready to go on iPhone/iPod.

Highway1 who are offering very competitive rates and are Mac

Re: re telstra

2009-05-06 Thread Eugene

Reliable - yes. No problems or dropouts since installed January 2008.
Quality - pretty close to a normal landline. Some cordless phones are
better than others - apparently Uniden and Panasonic use frequencies
that are similar to the WiFi modem and can cause interference.
Some people say I speak with a slight echo. No problems with the
incoming voice.

  Eugene

There are different models by the same manufacturer that use different
frequencies !

Should be ok if you pick the right one

2009-05-06 Thread Jennifer and Dick Lefroy
We have been with Highway1 as our server for years. They are very
good with support (our knowledge as well as our needs are pretty
basic) and I think I can only remember a couple of occasions when
they were down. They even advised us when they thought we were on a
plan which was more expensive than we required.

Since changing to a Mac , I have found that they have people who
specialise in Macs.
