Hi Jennifer,

If you block the Address in Mail on your computer, mail on iPhone/iPad should 
not receive any mail messages from that Address.
What type of email account is the Spam coming to?

Spam on devices

Every time I use email (not gmail) on my iPad or iPhone, it is cluttered
with spam, all from names beginning with A and all containing graphic
photos.  They have the right server address, but not the correct user name.
I have successfully blocked them on my Mac desktop through mail rules. The
server says it cannot help.  Is there any solution apart from cancelling
that email account?

I will be grateful for any suggestion.

Interesting. I had been having trouble with the iView app on my smart TV 
recently. It wasn't a connectivity issue as SBS on demand and the web browser 
were working OK - but iView stated to open and then went to a blank grey 
screen. Tried the usual restarting the TV, modem, router etc but the TV 
continued to work with SBS on demand but not iView.

Then tried again, last night, and iView was working again.

May not be relevant or related. May be my Smart TV having problems with the 
iView app. Maybe iView doing modifications to the streaming setup at their 
server (has given temporary problems in the past). Who knows?

Anyway, I found it interesting that we both seemed to have iView come good at 
(roughly) the same time - could just be a coincidence though   ;o)

first step.  Apple TV settings infer software updates occur when the app is 
activated.  This may not be true.  The automatically reinstalled app after the 
system reset displayed a blue dot inferring it was a new version.

Worked ok a couple of months ago.  All internet settings appear ok on the 
device and computer.  ISP is iiNet. Restarted Apple TV, still no go.

Apple TV.  Not a very satisfactory fix, but at least the iPad (and home 
network) must be in Australia!
