Hi Alan,
I agree with Stephen, I’ve used this App since day one and only have to scan
the premises Code image and then close.

Kind Regards,
Ronni

Re: [WAMUG} Password Apps for iPhone

2021-01-31 Thread Alan Smith
Hi Stephen and Ronni,

Thank you for your positive experience with the SafeWA app log in memory. It
must just be bad luck on my phone. Only untoward action I recall is that
sometimes I let the phone battery go flat. Apple’s safety feature may close
down the logged in app to conserve power.

I willl stop looking at password apps and just check that I am logged in before
leaving home. In any case I will apply Ronni’s mantra: create a backup. In my
case I have the password written on a card I keep in my wallet! (Don’t tell
anyone.)

Cheers,
Alan

Hi Alan.
I have used this App from day 1 and have only had to log in once at the start.
When required I simply open the App, scan and close.

[WAMUG} Password Apps for iPhone

2021-01-30 Thread Alan Smith
Is there a password manager app (or other method) to quickly log in to one
specific app?

I’ve had the SafeWA covid app (the QR code reader) installed for some time. I
leave it “permanently” logged in but sometimes the app logs itself out. With
covid sign-in about to be mandatory in shops I want a quick method to to
activate the app to sign in with user code and password when I arrive at the QR
scanner.

I have an iPhone SE (2020). My vision is to open theSafeWA app then fill the
required fields directly with one (or two) clicks if I find the WA Health Dept
(or other gremlin) has logged me out.

I installed the LastPass app to test it out. It seems that the “auto login”
function requires the user to have opened the required web site from a browser.
As SafeWA requires logging in from within the app, not via a website, this
method does not to meet my needs. The app also seems to be very slow, so I
guess my phone has to access the “Vault” located in a cloud someplace.

Alan
