Thou shall not have discussions about TV Land that have nothing to do with TAGS The bandwidth we've wasted over the years discussing what we don't like about TV Land must be pretty large. Cigarettes Saving Barney
Holland, The only time I can think of that cigarettes may have saved ol' Barn was in the Jailbreak episode. Barney was crouched down in front of the station wagon when Malloy's female partner remembered her cigarettes and went back into the trailer. If she had been a non-smoker, she would have pulled forward and squashed our favorite deputy. Marijuana and the Stoner Vote
I'm sure many of you have heard that California will soon vote on legalizing a certain crop that Barney worried Sam Becker was planting. I heard part of a radio discussion on the topic during which one expert said that advocates were trying to attract the non-stoner vote. Just for fun What episode did cigarettes save Barneys life ? I will say in Jailbreak when Andy and Barney are in the trailer park trying to capture Malloy. Barney is crouching in front of the car when Malloy's partner starts the engine and would have driven right over Barney had she not realized that she forgot her cigarettes. As she goes back to the trailer to get them, Barney seizes the opportunity to get in the car himself and drive them all back to Mayberry. So Malloy's girl's cigarettes saved Barney's life. 30 Rock gives a nod to Mayberry's favorite barber
Anyone catch 30 Rock 2 nights ago? It's revealed that the surname of Liz's ex-boyfriend, Floyd, is DeBarber. Not one of their best episodes but I gave a chuckle of appreciation for that one. Also, I drove past Mt. Airy and Pilot Mt. today but couldn't stop cause I was in a rush. However I did take a picture of Pilot Mountain with my cell phone. Probably not smart since I was driving a stick shift through the rain at the time.
