Jim Nabors' birthday celebration

2017-06-09 Thread Phil B
Hey folks,
Just wanted to let you folks know about some upcoming rare TV shows. If you
receive GET TV on your local cable or via local digital channels, you might
want to set up the DVR for Monday evening.

In honor of Jim Nabors birthday on Monday, GET TV is celebrating with 3
hours of special TV. At 9 p.m., they will air a 1974 episode of The Sonny
And Cher Comedy Hour featuring Jim Nabors and Danny Thomas as guests. Then
at 10 p.m., they will air a 1969 episode of The Jim Nabors Hour, with guest
Carol Burnett (this was the second episode of this series). And, finally,
at 11 p.m., they will air another 1969 episode of The Jim Nabors Hour, with
guest Andy Griffith (this was the first episode). As one of our Mayberry
friends would say, "This is BIG!"

If you are not sure if this channel is available in your local market, you
can go to their website, www.get.tv, and type in your zip code.

Have a great weekend.

Phil B.

Same thing I've been asking about Aunt Bee and Senator Canfield. They were
perfect together.

Also, Gomer and Mary Grace, she's nice, real nice, and both can really cut a
rug.

Update

2017-06-09 Thread Ken Anderson
Lots going on in the land of Mayberry here in Eau Claire. Just this week
we are doing 3 parades and 4 car shows and I also did my Mayberry
presentation at Senior Americans Day at the university here in Eau Claire.
Next week we have 4 car shows and 1 parade. It is suppose to be in the
90's so I will not be walking in uniform. Still on crutches too so that
does keep me less mobile. I also agreed yesterday to do my presentation at
our area Veterans' Home, which is always a wonderful experience. We have
done 17 events so far this summer and we are enjoying each and every one of
them.

At a car show last week a young girl of about 12 came up to me and thanked
me for my service and last night the same thing happened with a young boy.
It is obvious that they do not understand what I am all about. So I
usually just smile and thank them. If they come up my car then I take the
time to explain things.

Stay cool.
