whose the tallest tags character??and the shortest..
HELLO ..No one has mentioned George Lindsey, he was very tall and also Jack Dodson, he also was very tall. Andy isnt the only tall character or the only good looking one there were others George and Jack!! I wonder if Ernest T. BasS was the shortest?? He did nt seem very tall and either is Ken Berry... But they were both great actors I loved watching them.I admire all of Mr. Morris's talents of being a great actor and director on some episodes of the andy griffith show.Also Jack and George are also very talented and TALL... How tall was Don Knotts does any one know? I sure do miss him... Thanks Mary Taylor also Happy Birthday to George Lindsey.. this month.. goober at the auto show
Hi I remember when Goober went to the auto show and he was telling his friend that he had his main office in Mayberry his friend replied that little town you grew up in when Goober was trying to impress his friend that he had a chain of gas stations...I know Goober was reminicing with andy about when they played football inhigh school when Opie had to write a story about his favorite person he admired. I really do not know why Gomer introduced Goober as someone Andy had never met in Fun Girls. Goober did once mention that he was in the military and someone called him a hayseed mayb e Andy just hadnt seen him in a long time. Mary P.S. favorite season
I love all the seasons i have the 8 season dvd set. But i really have enjoyed the later seasons with Goober and Emmett and Howard what a 3 some they were really funny. A nd They added alot of comedy, when Howard went bowling was funny, they were all always arguing but were still the best of friends. I really loved it. I have enjoyed those episodes more and more through the years. It was teragic when don knotts left i feel that it took those 3 people to make the comedy funny again and they did a great jobI heard some where that the 8th season was the highest ratings of all.. Is this true?? I wonder also did more people by 1968-69 have tv's?? maybe in the early years not as many americans had tv's yet in their homes.. could this be a possibility??? Floyd the barber
I am responding to the arcticle in the wbmutbb about if Floyd was funnier before his stroke or after??? I think he was funny all the time. He was a great actor, I think he was really funny when the manicurist came to town and wanted to put up a table and do manicures at Floyds barber shop. Anyway I read George Lindseys book (Goober in a nut shell) and he talked about Howard Mcnear, they were friends and that Howard was a great actor and that when he would have a scene all the cast would stand around and watch. The cast would stay around after their scenes were done just to watch Howard perform. George said no one did that for any one else. Just Howard. He said he was worth watching and so funny. George also said that Howard got frustrated some times when he couldnt get the words out and the cast was really patient with him and worked with him. They sound like they were a great family unit!!! Hi everybody, i agree with all of you about the shows tvland is putting on. Its just not right these trashy shows are invading our classic world. The reason i watch tv or subscribe to cable is to watch tv land. only!! it was the only decent tv station on. Its not classic any more what happen??? Can't they find another station to put these shows on?? There is about 1000 staions Why TV land?? It would be great if the stars like jerry mathers (beaver) or george lindsey (goober) and alan alda(mash) got together and approached tvland management in our defence, and told them they want there shows to be number one! and all those class reunion shows etc. off the station!! I wish the stars would stick up for us!! I wonder what they think. Whats going to happen to great tv?? I am going to try to think of something.I miss the old tvland. Mary Taylor - You rock. HI I agree I cannot believe they are going to put :just shoot me on tv land. I hate that show. Its not a classic. I think they should show Mr. Ed Gilligans Island Fathers knows best. I think a show thats 1980 and over is not a classic. Don't you think there should be a line like what years should be shown and what years are not. I think 1980 wuld be a good cut off. The movies lately have not been any better. The last good movie they showed was Saturday night fever. Where can you write your opinions to tvland? Does any one know?
