Funniest line(s)

2008-08-05 Thread castone59
I laugh every time I hear Ernest T. Bass ask in his nasal voice, I wonder
who that could be? The scene is in My Fair Ernest T. Bass and Barney is
going to teach Ernest T. how to enter a room properly. The look Andy gives
Ernest T. is priceless. Then of course there are more lines later in the
same scene. I can't hear him. I can't hear him. How can I learn if I
can't hear him? (Doggone it, Ernest T. Bass! Those are the amenities.
You don't shout out amenities!)

If the above quotes are slightly wrong, I would appreciate it if someone
would correct them. I like to be precise about these things but don't have
time to go watch the DVD. I know, I know. If you've got time to breathe,
you've got time to watch TAGS. But please correct the quotes.

Baked Alaskan will always enjoy the memorable line by Barney that concludes
his soliliquy in Dogs, Dogs, Dogs;  Boy, Giraffes are selfish!  He truly
believes it.

Funniest line

I have to agree that wonder who that could be? is the funniest line in the
series.
Maybe we could do a favorite line poll, or funniest line poll on the web site,
similar to the Favorite episode poll.

And my choice for the most prophetic lineGot time to breathe, got time for
music.

I think the best line of the show ever was when Opie says that sleeping
between two chairs on the ironing board is Adventure sleeping.

Another starter question: What is the funniest line in AG? (of all the
episodes)

Opie's He is one of my own when he refuses to say anything bad about the
spoiled kid who rode his bike on the sidewalk.

The Darlins and funniest line

2008-08-03 Thread lisa jackson
Do you like the episode with The Darlings or not?

Well, I absolutely LOVE the Darlins (I know there's a g on the end, but I
say it w/o the g, so I will type it that way, too). They're just
hilarious! Their superstitious beliefs, the silent boys, and Charlene's
crush on Andy are too much! I love all of the episodes w/ them, and I wish
there were a few more episodes w/ them. I feel the same about Ernest T. and
Leon. They should've been on there more, but we have to treasure those few
episodes w/ them.

Another starter question: What is the funniest line in AG? (of all the
episodes)

I don't know if I could pick just one funniest line. There are so many
funny lines. I think my favorite moment, although I'm not sure you could
put it down to just one line, is when Ernest T. tried to join the army and
had his physical. I love it when he said Ah when he opened his mouth and
then asked what he should say for the ears. Of course, the medic told him
to hush and E.T. said HSHHH. Then the hearing test
was hilarious, too. I love that episode, but it's too hard to pick out just
one line for the absolute funniest of all episodes.

One of the lines (of many) that always cracks me up is Malcolm Tucker
responding to Barney on the front porch:
Do it!!
Just do it!!
Go take a nap. Go to Thelma Lou's. Watch TV. Just do it!!
