Paul mentioned the birthday where Earl Pike bought his 57-year-old boy a car. To me, this is why TAGS is such a good show - you don't expect the punchline, but when you hear the line, you laugh (I don't think Andy & Barney laugh) then you immediately believe this is something that can happen in Mayberry. I think my birthday card to Betty Lynn might not have arrived yet. We didn't get it mailed until Wednesday, I think. I decided not to go with a standard card. I am a photographer, and I have some nice cards with openings where I can insert my own photos and write my own message inside. I usually save these for special occasions. I have a photo of my husband and me with Betty Lynn at Mayberry Days in 2014. I printed it out and then added word balloons to the picture telling her happy birthday and such things. I put the picture in the card and wrote a message to Betty inside. I thought this would be a one-of-a-kind card. I hope she likes it! I was watching the early sunrise news on one of our TV stations this morning when suddenly the announcer said they had a birthday wish and they announced Happy 62nd Birthday to Kenny Anderson aka Barney Fife. So that made my day. Apparently some friends of mine sent in the announcement. Someone remembered my birthday. For I'm a jolly good fellow, for I'm a jolly good fellow.
