 I am having a problem running Webkit. I downloaded a version (38297)
 several
months ago, and got it building and running on Ubuntu Linux. I have also
ported it to run on a PPC platform, using GTK+ and DirectFB on my PPC
hardware However, when I run my port on the PPC hardware, I see a couple
unexpected behaviours. I have spend several days trying to track down the
root cause, but not luck yet.

Hi Mike

I suggest you take this to webkit-help as this list about WebKit development
discussions. In addition, I also suggest that you raise a bug report against
the WebKit Gtk component and include the information you provided below in
your bug report.

Thanks!

Re: [webkit-dev] Does webkit gtk port support persistent history?

 Dear All,

Does webkit save history to persistent storage automatically, or it leaves
all the work to client side implementation?
If it is the former case, which API should I use? I only see
WebKitWebHistoryItem to manipulate single history item, no such class like
WebHistory in win port found in gtk port.

No, not yet. Also for future reference, this list is for WebKit development.
Questions about the Gtk port should go to the webkit-gtk list or webkit-help
for general questions.

Re: [webkit-dev] Patch process - let's make it better

2009-07-10 Thread Jan Michael Alonzo
Hi Maciej

 === Action Plan ===

 * Phase 1 *

 snip

 C) Improve the way we get attention from reviewers. I think we should do
 three things here:
C.1) Split review queues, based on our emerging [Bracket] convention for
patches needing specialized review. If we find more areas of specialty
besides ports, we can add new [Bracket] tags.

Can we split by Component as well? So for example, there will be queues for
WebCore [Mac], WebCore, Accessibility [Gtk] etc.. and treat
non-bracketed patch queues as patches that affect core, non-platform
specific code?

C.2) Improve the quality of emails sent
C.3) Highlight in a special way patches that have been waiting for
review longer that some minimum period (a week?). These could be highlighted
visually in the review queue, and maybe would send extra review request
 emails automatically.

In addition, is it possible maybe to send a weekly or forthnightly
outstanding review requests to webkit-dev?

This list is for developing WebKit. You're likely to get feedback if you
post your question in webkit-help or webkit-gtk.
