Re: [libreoffice-website] credit card donations now possible
This is just a suggestion why not have the first page only, and then a drop down menu with all the localized donation pages in regards to credit cards. Florian Any reason why enter custom amount defaults to 250 EUR??? With the options of 5, 10, 20, and 50 EUR, having it then jump to 250 for the custom figure may be not a wise move on our part. Maybe set it for 25 or 30 would be better. A jump of 5 time the highest of the other option[s] does not look proper to me. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to website+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

[libreoffice-website] is the new infrastructure IPv6 compliant?
Will the new infrastructure IPv6 compliant? or is it still only IPv4? I just read an article that reminded me of the move to IPv6, and the need to make sure all your newly bought business equipment will handle IPv6 when it actually is deployed for Internet's URL/IP-address use. Enterprise Networking: IPv6: What You Need to Know About the Move From IPv4 By Darryl K. Taft | Posted 2012-09-21 The Number Resource Organization said the world officially ran out of IPv4 addresses in February 2011, and according to the Internet Society According to the results from a survey measuring Ipv6 deployment, more than 70 percent of the 1,600 respondents worldwide—half of which were Internet Service Providers (ISPs)—said they plan to deploy IPv6 on their networks by the end of 2012. There is no specific date when everything needs to be upgraded to IPv6 (although some organizations, including governments, have already identified target dates for their own IPv6 implementation). IPv6 and its transition mechanisms have been designed for a long period of co-existence with IPv4, and IPv4-only systems and applications are expected to survive for many years. However, IPv6-only systems will eventually hit the market, and many users are likely to be in emerging business markets and developing countries. The core IPv6 specifications increasingly are becoming available as a standard part of product and service offerings. However, not all products are fully IPv6-capable right now, and some significant upgrade gaps remain, especially in low-end consumer equipment. Similarly, while many software applications and operating systems (especially in open-source code) have already been updated for IPv6, not all products (including some from major vendors) are fully IPv6-ready. http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Enterprise-Networking/IPv6-What-You-Need-to-Know-About-the-Move-From-IPv4-214871 -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to website+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
Re: [libreoffice-website] is the new infrastructure IPv6 compliant?
The datacenter they use allocates a single ipv4 and a massive /64 ipv6 block. Question becomes those are they taking advantage of both ipv4 and ipv6 so I wouldnt be suprised if its taking advantage of both. Maybe ask the design team for ideas? My thoughts about the button is that it should also include at least our document logo maybe hack it and add a piggy bank (something meaning giving money) in the center of the logo. [libreoffice-website] [Bug 55284] New: TDF Site [de] (German) DWONLOAD Installation: replace headline Apple Macintosh by Mac OS X
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55284 Priority: medium Bug ID: 55284 CC: website@global.libreoffice.org Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: TDF Site [de] (German) DWONLOAD Installation: replace headline Apple Macintosh by Mac OS X Severity: minor Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: b...@eikota.de Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 3.6.2.1 rc Component: WWW Product: LibreOffice On the German page http://de.libreoffice.org/download/installation/ the section with hints for Mac OS X users has the headline “Apple Macintosh”. IMHO this is not a good idea, at least not today. Two reasons: 1) As far as I can remember, Apple does not use the word “Macintosh” often (or not at all) since a few years -- only “Mac Pro”, “MacBook”, “iMac”, etc. 2) The other headlines on the same page speak of “Windows” and “Linux”, i.e. mention operating system names. But “Apple Macintosh” was a hardware name. The operating system was called “System 7”, “MacOS 8”, “MacOS 9”, and now “Mac OS X”. Therefore I suggest that the headline should read “Mac OS X” instead, just like on the other page: http://de.libreoffice.org/download/systemvoraussetzungen -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
