Re: [libreoffice-website] Extensions-Template-Site with new Spam Protection

2013-11-30 Thread Florian Effenberger

Hello Andreas,

Andreas Mantke wrote on 2013-11-29 19:07:

the LibreOffice extensions- and templates site experienced a lot of spam
the last two weeks. There were about 100 to 200 new entries per day in
our ticket system which we get via the forms for an account request.
Because it was an exhausting situation to handle all this new tickets I
decided that the sites need a new technique to fight the spam. I got
some good hints from the Plone community and started working on a new
form. I used another add-on with a field that presents questions to the
user and looks for the right answer. I added also a hidden field to the
form that had to be blank (robots tend to fill that hidden field).

The new forms are in place now and working fine. I hope that will make
our life a bit easier ;-)

thanks a lot for all your work! I know you do a very big chunk of that
late at night and without making a big fuss out of it, but the tasks you
do are extremely important and valueable to the community.

Thank you very much - and enjoy your weekend! :)

Florian

[libreoffice-website] Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Donate/DL page: Please change DonatePage.DLOptional to read find the additional buttons on the right

Hi,
shouldn't this string be changed in Pootle as well?

Here is Slovenian version of the string update:
Možne prenose najdete na desni strani.

 Hi *,

[please send translations only to me, general comments only to the
website@global.libreoffice.org list - l10n list is just FYI]

as you might have noticed or not, but for a while already the Buttons
that are added to the donate page (to which one is redirected to when
a download is started) are placed to the right of the explanatory text
for english (and since now also for german).

Having the text click the link in case the DL doesn't start
automatically, find optional downloads on the right first (esp. the
first part) makes it more clear that donation is optional / that the
download will start/is possible without having to donate anything.

So please change the translation of
  'DonatePage.DLOptional'
 to read the equivalent of
'You can find the optional downloads on the right.'
(instead of .. on the left)

Feel free to replace the language-code and the translation in the
following line and send it directly to me.

$lang['en_US']['DonatePage']['DLOptional'] = 'You can find the
 optional downloads on the right.';

I'll individually switch the languages over to the new order as
translations come in, until most of the translations did arrive (then
 I'll switch unconditionally)

 Thanks a lot,

 ciao
 Christian

do you have already any experience with Plone yet? Then the first step
should be to create a new Plone instance via buildout.

Andreas

buildout is the common way to create a Plone instance. You could find some
explanation how to create one here:

http://developer.plone.org/getstarted/installation.html#installing-plone-using-buildout-on-ubuntu-debian

The current versions of Plone (version 4.x) support Python 2.7.x that I
would recommend (Python 3.x is currently out of scope).

You could also have a look on the slides for the Plone workshop during
the LibreOffice conference 2012 in Berlin:
