[libreoffice-website] What to do this week-end?
Hi all, We are just before the week-end and you don't know what to do tomorrow or on Sunday? I've a proposal for you: fill the pad with what your project has done last year :-) http://pad.documentfoundation.org/p/annualreport I'm sure the Native language projects have a lot to share here! Reminder: Florian will have to consolidate the report by the end of the month. (as custom javascript is stripped from normal pages) https://github.com/tdf/cms-themes/blob/master/libo/templates/Layout/NabblePage.ss Thanks! Does it mean I need to create a Virtual Page or how would this special page fit within SilverStripe? No. currently is uses a dedicated NabblePage page type: https://github.com/tdf/cms-code/blob/master/mysite/code/NabblePage.php (and that in turn then uses the NabblePage.ss template) The pagetype adds a new database-field that stores the Forum (aka mailnglist) ID that should be displayed. and adds that to the backend. Note that the struture of the backend has changed (no more various tabs - so for applying that to the newdesign page, the function has to be adjusted to add the form-field to the expected place). I did pretty much what you explained and indeed I have the Nabble page type and template created inside the CMS. I can access and create a Nabble page, but when I do so the Create button will run in a loop, not creating the page. Did I put the template and the page type in the wrong place? Update: the Nabble page has actually been created (log back in after a while and it was there). But at this stage, I am not exactly sure what it's loading as it appears to be churning in the void and does not display an actual forum (yet something is working in order to display a forum). There's a forum number ID that seems to be ours, shall I try with another one? best, Charles. Best, Charles. ciao Christian -- Charles-H. Re: [libreoffice-website] [Wiki] Marking abandoned or outdated pages
Hi *, I have used https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Template:Maybe-outdated as this was recently created by Robinson and is exactly what we do need. To recognize on which page the template is used, we can either use Special:Whatlinkshere or add an additional category for it. The template was only added at pages where a similar hard-coded warning message was existing. Regards, Dennis Am 02.01.2014 11:17, schrieb Volker Merschmann: Hi all, some of you (especially Dennis and Wojciech started to sort out older pages. Two wishes from my side: - Do not mark pages as abandoned if they are not touched for a certain time, but try to find a proof for that. Else you can ask the last editors. - Let us agree upon a template and category (or two/three) to put on these pages to be recognized. I am open for suggestions on the latter point. I did pretty much what you explained Well, no you didn't. You didn't adjust the getCMSFields function to the new backend structure. no more various tabs [...] adjust to add [...] to the expected place. It still works, because Silverstripe is backward-compatible in this case, but you did ignore that statement. So don't add to Root.Content.Main, as there is no Content-Tab anymore, it is just Root.Main http://doc.silverstripe.org/framework/en/tutorials/2-extending-a-basic-site [...] But at this stage, I am not exactly sure what it's loading as it appears to be churning in the void and does not display an actual forum (yet something is working in order to display a forum). There's a forum number ID that seems to be ours, shall I try with another one? Just scroll down... The nabble one uses custom css that makes it render below, as it's too wide otherwise. If you're viewing it on https, then probably your browser blocks loading nabble's stuff that it tries to get via http. so try with http and the forum should load. IIRC nabble doesn't support https, at least just changing the script-URL to a https one won't work...
