[WestNileNet] THANK YOU

2019-09-15 Thread Hussein Amin
Today I would simply like to thank God for everything: The good times and
the bad times, the gifts and the hard lessons, and a big 'thank you' for
all the people who have been there for me in the course of this earthly
life. I pray that you receive the best rewards for all your kind deeds.
Thank You!

[WestNileNet] Thank you!!

2015-08-13 Thread Ejibua Sam
Dear friends,

It all started like a month full of expectations because I was looking
forward to our new baby but it turned out otherwise. Having to deal with a
dead wife and an infact are 2 huge responsibilities I have never imagined I
would face in this time and season. It was you, my friends who made this
possible, you eased my grief and comforted me in a way even my family could
not.

I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you all for standing
with me and my family to the point of sending off my wife to her resting
place. I cannot say it is done, neither can I say it is easy - but everyday
that goes, I give thanks to God for friends and all of you that have prayed
with me and offered whatever kind of support. Thank you so much and may God
continue to bless you.

THANK YOU ALMIGHTY!

Photo (from right to left): Mwanga (front), Ramla, Adam, Moses, my father
Idi Amin, Hajira (front), Fatuma, Mao and myself (extreme left) at State
House Nakasero gardens, Kampala.

As I reminisce about the past and ponder about the future, let me take time
off to say a big thanks to all those who stood by my father in difficult
times. Those who selflessly helped him and those who protected him.
Wherever you reach in your life's progress, there are always people who
helped you get there.
So a big Thank You first to Allah Almighty, Creator of the heavens and
the earth. He who did many miracles for my father while he faced
incredible, unprecedented adversity and ridicule.
And many thanks to the many people in Uganda and around the world who
helped him get where he reached until that fateful day when he left this
world quietly and peacefully.
Also thanks to his enemies who enabled him find that peace elsewhere abroad.
But a sincere special thanks to Saudi Arabia that will always be home in my
heart.
Last but not least, allow me to give thanks to all of you for your kind
thoughts as well.
I pray that you overcome your troubles and achieve meaningful success with
blessings in plenty.

Again, Thank You Almighty!

Hi Dear West Nilers,
I would like to thank those who initiated such a group email where we can
contribute ideas to develop our region. No one outside West Nile will come to
do it for us. That should be our main focus. I also would like to thank Dr.
Obaa Bernard of Makerere University for introducing me to this group email.

I am a teacher trainer by profession currently pursuing masters at Makerere.

My passion is the decline of our schools in the region. I am sure you guys must
have talked about education in our region, but we should not give up.

I look forward to contributing in this forum.

The word is commitment and most of our ideas will actually work. Perhaps we try

established to conduct hearings in each district and the report from these
committees be the basis of organizing the conference.

This will of of course require a careful planning and time and commitment from
people to take the initiative to volunteer themselves in these committees.
One of the problems we have with our people is their lack of interest in

You have said it even better. A convention, workshop oof any type would
certainly bring some change but how committed are those who may not be sharing
this problem with us right now? For instance does the CAO Arua or Nebbi think
this is a problem? When you invite them at the hour of need they will send you
one of those reps of theirs who may not even report back let alone direct
policy or implementation at any stage. Its true we can not get everyone but
thier commitment is paramount.

Secondly such a convention needs alot of planning to realize the desired goals
and that means time. Lets plan pray over it and implement. June is my earliest

UNEB on TV lambasted mediocrity, and boldly stated that if you have mediocre

surely be mediocre. I am not
accusing any teacher since those are not my words. But those words sum up our
situation. Prof, you, me and the rest have intervened in everything that
affects us, if we had a convention say hosted in one of the schools, we invite
all stake holders including Fagil Mande, we have two serious days of
deliberation, we invite all head teachers from West Nile Schools or their
representatives, business men, LC3, and V chairpersons, Education officers,
RDCs, parents representatives, CAO's ourselves and MPs, Student representatives
and we come up with resolutions which districts in West Nile can adopt as
working documents including schools, and may be Government inclusive, then we
see no change in attitudes of students, parents and school administrators and
if we do not see improvement in results, I will gladly say, we did our part and
may be resort to only prayers. Sorry these issues can only be expressed in form

Dear Members,

On behalf of Ann Bayo and on my own behalf, I would like to thank all of you
for the moral and financial support that you gave during the hard times when
Ann lost her daughter Mercy in a tragic accident. She and the family are so
gratiful particularly for the positive response they got from people on
this forum. She received calls from our people in diaspora which she had not
expected. These she says are helping her in the healing process.
I would like to thank Toa whom I conducted for legal advice during that
crisis and that advise he gave has helped us to handle the case which has
successfully been closed now.

Thank you so much forum members, God bless you.

Take Kisaasi road from Ntinda until you reach the round about in Kisaasi

Hullo Robert, indeed there is going to be abig relieve to see an end to the
LADO posting. I am happy because I am one the person who reacted to the Lado
thing when I first show it. Indeed I had planned to deregister myelf from this
Forum if the reaction not like what my dear brothers have expressed.
My applogy to those who felt offended on my disaggreement on LADO principle,
although the message i expressed remains unchanged.
Now I am happy we share the same vision realistic issues to discuss on this
Forum unlike the dream of Lado state.
I encourage all of us to remain united and fight the politics divide and rule
or of personal gain.
I have decided from today onwards to trash any document with LADO agenda as
soon as i see it on my mails.

Subject: [WestNileNet] What We Fear

My Last writing appeal on this Forum  . Period

What we fear

To understand the deeper motivations of humans it is necessary, in our view to
understand fear. Generally we believe or tell ourselves that we are afraid of
outer occurrences.

One fears not being loved, not being able to fulfil ones life ambitions,
success, failure, pain, abandonment, lack of security, going to hell or heaven
and so on.

It is our understanding though, that what we really fear is experiencing the
associated emotional states, thoughts and sensations that accompany going
through the above mentioned situations.

We are controlled by others whether in the personal sphere (children, family,
lovers, friends, parents, colleagues) or in the public sphere (schools,
governments, churches, associations) by viewing these individuals and
institutions as elements who exert control over our inner states (emotions,
thoughts and sensations).
We fear experiencing not being loved for example and therefore our actions can
be controlled by those who are supposed to love us unconditional, by them
threatening not love us if we behave in a certain manner or promising more
love we if we modify our behaviour according to their wishes. Police officers,
military personnel and prisons threaten us with physical force and so here it
is our fear of experiencing physical pain and brute power which causes us to
behave as the system wishes to.
Our conclusion is that true freedom cannot be achieved unless we are willing
to feel and feel fully accepting, all that we feel as a part of life. Once we
deem any part of what we are experiencing as bad and unwanted we engender a
desire to escape it and a fear of it when it is absent from our perception.
Uncontrolled fear leads to flight from what ever it is one fears and it is
through this we are controlled.
Oppressors create a situation, if we as beings act in a manner contrary to the
oppressors interest, where we will feel/experience unwanted emotions, thoughts
and sensations. This is of course designed to deter us from choosing the path
to freedom and to instill within us a fear of even contemplating, taking up
the struggle.
To be free, entails to be willing to feel all and everything to the fullest.
Only this allows us to withstand the pressures  applied by oppressors in order
to cause to surrender and live in fear.
