[Bug 23335] User language settings for autocreated accounts at Commons should carry over from homewiki
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23335 --- Comment #5 from User:Docu test5...@myway.com 2010-04-30 11:20:50 UTC --- It doesn't matter by whom these features would be used, what matters right now is how they're implemented. This bug and bug 14950 would be implemented in pretty much the same way (should this be duped, anyone?) since they're pretty much the same feature, except that multilingual wikis such as Commons would behave differently from wikis like enwiki. Bug 14950 adds additional user settings for preferences, while this one could just work like, e.g., the skin setting. It has a default that is different from one wiki to the other. Sample: http://toolserver.org/~vvv/sulutil.php?user=Novan1 would have Monobook at eo_wiki and Vector at Commons (at least according to current defaults). There is nothing the user has to do, but the user can change it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 21375] new wiki as internal working space for the fiwiki arbcom
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21375 Erno Similä eras...@pp.nic.fi changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|FIXED | --- Comment #4 from Erno Similä eras...@pp.nic.fi 2010-04-30 13:30:47 UTC --- Hi again! Much thanks for the arbcomwiki. It has proved to be useful. One additional question / request: would it be possible to change user rights configuration so that bureaucrats could also _remove_ admin bureaucrat rights? That would remove the need to bother Wikimedia stewards with arbcom.fi.wikipedia.org related matters. I presented this idea to other Arbitration Committee members on our email list, and we thought that it's a good idea. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23002 --- Comment #3 from Derk-Jan Hartman hart...@videolan.org 2010-04-30 16:56:35 CEST --- We could separate the behavior depending on wether or not a redirect is left behind. If a redirect is left behind, we could just rewrite the database table in one go i guess (a bit like the watchlist entries). This would have the benefit of the new filepage being immediately up to date. [Bug 23361] Thumbnailing of files with question marks (?) in their names broken on Commons
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23361 --- Comment #1 from Ilmari Karonen nos...@vyznev.net 2010-05-01 01:16:24 UTC --- It seems existing thumbs continue to be served correctly as long as no-one purges them. According to the 7 April 2010 dump, there are 748 potentially affected files on Commons. [Bug 21526] Bug in Djvu text layer extraction
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21526 Lars Aronsson l...@aronsson.se changed: What|Removed |Added Priority|Normal |High Severity|enhancement |normal --- Comment #3 from Lars Aronsson l...@aronsson.se 2010-05-01 01:26:27 UTC --- For /66 of commons:File:Östgötars_minne.djvu contains the two character sequence ) and that is where the extracted text ends. For /67 the extracted text is empty. For /68, the extracted text is the one that belongs to the /67 image. All subsequent pages have the text layer off by one or more pages. The OCR quality is low (coming from Google), so a new OCR should be generated before proofreading. But until then, this file is another test case for this bug. http://sv.wikisource.org/wiki/Index:%C3%96stg%C3%B6tars_minne.djvu -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
