This causes the modules to be loaded simultaneously with the main HTML, and under certain conditions, module execution may occur before the #mw-panel element appears in the DOM. ext.vector.collapsibleNav in particular does not register a $(document).ready() callback, it just tries to modify the DOM at the file level of the module. No errors are logged, $( '#mw-panel' ) just returns an empty list and the styling is not applied. Other modules may have similar issues with $wgResourceLoaderExperimentalAsyncLoading. Bug 34450 may possibly be related but there were a lot of issues mixed in there without any reproduction procedure so I decided to file a new bug. There is a real problem with the CentralAuth extension, and especially with the global oversight feature. I noticed in the past that sometimes oversighting an account globally won't remove stuff in the logs on local wikis (mainly newusers, deletion and block log). I noticed that when restoring a global account, the entries that were previously oversighted by CentralAuth are not restored. But I've never seen things like that. Now, when you oversight an account, it is not removed from [[Special:ListUsers]]. If you want to know exactly the users I'm speaking about, please contact me privately. That's really something critical, so I think that something should be done to fix the multiple issues with this extension as soon as possible. Thanks by advance. I don't know what you mean. Upon taking a closer look at the problem, I realized the problem is more twisted than I indicated. I attached a SQL file (attachment 10049) to show the problem. Running populateRevisionSha1.php for r111795, the ArchiveUncompressedPlainUtf8 gets a SHA1 of t1vsj53xq35125uu7m495n0v15l0tu3. Running populateRevisionSha1.php for =r111795 [1], the very same row gets a SHA1 of gyh34cr8h1pice2eo0ff2krn7zsnl72. The problem seems to be that the two archive rows of the SQL file share the same timestamp and updateRevisionSha1.php relies on the timestamps being unique. However, I cannot see a reason for the timestamps being unique. Is there one? If it's just an educated guess, I guess it would be good to also add the ar_title/ar_len column to reduce the risk of false SHA1 sums. Tested MediaWiki version is 1.18wmf1, browser is Firefox 10.0.1. The script doesn't call document.write anywhere directly, so all calls to document.write are done by mw.loader.load. I found several warnings in the web console, saying A call to document.write from an asynchronously loaded extern script was ignored. (translated from German, original: Ein Aufruf von document.write() durch ein asynchron geladenes externes Skript wurde ignoriert.) So mw.loader.load should pay attention not to load anything by document.write unless this definitely can be done without problems. The logic being to reduce the barriers to code contibution since it enables a long tail of contributors (AKA a developer community) who's single code contributions in aggregate account for t almost all of code over time. (like wikipedia ...) In theory I would not mind agreeing to your request. In practice however your request is not practical -- coordination costs far outweigh the benefits provided by the next best alternative: 1. At this point Ryan Lane is the goto guy with respect to labs. I make this bold statement since i the last 3 months your collegues on have had to deffer to you on every issue that I've raised. 2. Even if I recruit some new volanteers and if they eventualy get commit + labs access, they would still have to chase you down to get anything done. 3. AFAIK Labs is not a stable environment but still very much under development -- which boils down to your request being an unreasonable demand from the community at this point in the lab project life time. Therefore I entreat of you once again -- please check with other ops regarding supporting a modern and robust build workflow is not in WMF best intreset -- it does seem to be the gist of WMF 5 year startegic plan. If there are no longer sufficent resources for supporting long running projects in WMF and we are asked to roll our own we should migrate/outsorce the projects to more dynamic community such as Github or Java.net. The problem in the given bug is that = is a special character in #ask for denoting parameter values. There needs to be some mechanism to prevent SMW mistaking your input for a parameter assignment. I do not know how and why #ask queries with this behaviour have a negative effect on your page layout, but if they do then this should not be related to the problem with =. Probably similar layout problems occur for all queries, or for all queries that have some error messages. The = bug in turn should occur for all data values that include =, not just for URLs. They may have different php.ini's. You're correct - I ran phpinfo() via a info.php file, and could see that it was loading *no* php.ini.
