I generally just comment out the try catch wrappers that hide the native browser callstack when I need to debug such things, and generally know what to look for / avoid in terms of iOS stack overflows I would instead recommend debug / develop mode does not use whole resource try catches, but understandable if that deviates too much from non-debug mode. The problem is that default BagOStuff::incr() implementation doesn't preserve TTL of cache keys. SQL and memcache are OK, as they are implementing incr() themselves. It's easy to fix for APC and XCache as there are underlying apc_inc() and xcache_inc() methods. eAccelerator didn't have increment method in previous versions... And now it doesn't have variable cache at all :-D also it doesn't work with PHP 5.4, so I think it doesn't matter if it will work. So, only DBA and Ehcache are left. DBA stores TTL with the key, so it's also easy to fix incr() for it. Don't know what Ehcache and its API is slightly more complex to check for increment quickly. I believe the problem of a large list of language is one that also effects the desktop site and shouldn't prevent us from making small steps of progress which I have the (possibly biased) belief that this design provides. We should be striving to make progress quickly rather than boil the ocean by covering every aspect of the homepage at once. No one can argue that the current page is pretty unusable in its current state (one must zoom and scroll to get to any language) Considering that this problem already exists on the current version of this page which is not mobile optimised at all I believe this responsive design is a huge improvement as it projects popular languages to the top of the page making it easier for users of these encyclopedias to access their version. In the edit box, list-defined references can now be placed in any desired order anyway while still producing the same displayed output, so LDR takes care of that part of the functionality of this patch as well. This means that an ffmpeg/ffmpeg2theora upload to apt.wikimedia.org has a potential of breaking production, especially considering ffmpeg's record of breaking ABI and user options and if being done without prior testing (which I have no way to do). 2) The ppa has ffmpeg2theora 0.28, while precise has 0.27; TMH is reported to work with 0.27, so I think we should go with a straight backport, rather than have custom-built newer version, as to have less external packages/backports when we move to precise. 3) I'm not really sure I understand why we can't go with precise here. Our systems (puppet, apt etc.) have already been prepared for precise and precise is already being used into production on some systems. Moreover, TMH is a new feature that is not present in production, so I can't see the argument of cloning production for that. FFmpeg aside, shouldn't we target precise for new features anyway? Apparently, when ignorewarnings is set, the hash check is either not performed or not reported for some reason. So, we could either unset ignorewarnings for FormDataTransport browsers, or we could set ignorewarnings for ApiUploadHandler browsers. In the former case, we lose some of the flexibility for title-related errors, which could be fixed in the Details step of UW. In the latter case, we lose any capacity to act on the hash check in the first step, but at least we're consistent. The third option is to debug core and figure out why the hash check isn't performed when ignorewarnings is set and the duplicate filename error is already present (try renaming a file you've uploaded before, chrome and firefox will complain then). Related issue (I think):
API action=parse does not return div.mw-content-ltr
so all ajax preview userscripts miss some global CSS,
one example is .mw-content-ltr .magnify {float: right}
for thumb images.
