This should only happen if the page is deleted after it's first added to their openTask cookie. S:GS has a length check (which implicitly includes checking that the page exists). Thus, this is worth fixing, but shouldn't be that common. I tried to replicate this on piramido.wmflabs.org by deleting a page I had just been served correctly via Special:GettingStarted with the toolbar and then returning. I still had the openTask cookie associated with that task/article, but the toolbar did not display on the redlink view (action=editredlink=1). Maybe your intention wasn't calling us morons, but it was exactly what was done when Nemo writes what he did 2013-06-20 12:19:00 about a poll with dozens with more than double or triple the usual participation in that kind of processes. Curiously that Nemo is the same guy who disabled the captcha without asking anyone and came to PT.WP writing in Italian (like it was a common language anywhere out of Italy), coming from nowhere saying that 2 weeks wasn't enough to decide a thing that the community has been discussing for months. If I understand, PHP has detected that the results of one query are still
pending when a second query is issued. To prevent this, it wants the results
of each query to be cleared by *polling* pg_get_result() instead of making just
a single call to that function.

Some experienced editors are complaining that writing in VE is slower for them
now, because they have to use the toolbar. They are requesting to be able to
use wikicode from within the VE.
Instead of fully introducing wikicode into the edit mode as some people have
requested, I have a different idea. What if we use [[ and {{ as hotkeys to open
the insert link and insert template dialogs ? When detecting this combination,
the editor could automatically remove this characters from the editsurface and
present the dialog to the user. Then the user can keep typing, greatly speeding
up the time to author a sentence.
These are by far the most used insertions I presume. File and external links
are much less common, and I don't see how you could easily have a hotkey like
supo
I think that would solve much of the concerns that have been mentioned.

Exporting the accounting file with NFS from tools-master could introduce some nasty locks, and aliasing qacct to qacct -f /data/project/.system/accounting in /etc/profile could cause problems when someone doesn't use an interactive shell to call qacct.
