Where a reference contains a name string with more than two characters VE
does not see it as a reference, although the PHP parser does.
e.g. ref name=Miranda - Stevie sings Proud on YouTube{{cite

Proud on YouTube}}/ref is seen as a reference by the PHP parser but not by
VE.

On Opel Laubfrosch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Laubfrosch, which has a lot of categories, the order of the cats on the page settings tab changes. Initially I get 8 categories, from Opel vehicles to compact cars. But when I e.g. click on the drop down button next to 1920s automobiles, and then click again in the categories window (to close the drop down without any changes), I get 10 cats instead of 8, and in a different order. Vehicles introduced in 1924 and Sedans are doubled (explaining the increase from 8 to 10), and the 3rd one is now no longer 1920s automobiles but 1930s automobiles... This can go on for quite a while, with the occasional disappearance of a cat as well apparently (normally the last one). Things start to break down, with the page settings then no longer working, or it being no longer possible to add a cat, and so on. I can confirm what he says, and this bug does not look browser or skin specific. VE will let you save in a situation where you have these cats duplicated, and a saved edit message will also pop-up, but there will be no trace of the edit in the history. Things were told to be done in the wrong order. Before doing anything else you will need to follow these steps: 1. Browse to http://[your-domain]/wiki/Special:ARC2Admin (You can click the ARC2 Admin link in your menu, if you followed the point above!) 2. Click the Setup button is to set up the database tables. The extension guide is soon updated (as soon as my page edits are confirmed by a moderator). uses different markup for summary.

This is really weird, and I'm stumped as to what's going on here. I've tried logged in as me and un-logged-in, and in two different browsers. The problem exists for all. I've tried making simple edits to the article. As mentioned, I see the old version (with Modern perspective) in the source when editing, even though I click edit on the current version of the article (as you'll see from the above link). When saved, the edits don't show - instead, the same Alternative ideas version keeps showing.
