It seems this is not a problem in Internet Explorer 8. It happens only in
Internet Explorer 9 as far as I know.

What happens:
* Edit a page. The WikiEditor loads. Everything looks nice.
* Click inside the edit window.
* The text in the edit window is re-rendered and "jumps" down. This is because
the line height is increased. It looks like there is an onfocus handler that
sets a much larger line-height CSS style. Not sure why this happens. I did not
looked at the JavaScript source.

I'm talking about the new extended WikiEditor that is the default since several
months.

Maybe related to bug 19334 but not a duplicate. In this page the edit window
does not scroll down. The only thing that changes is the line height.

Sorry, I don't know exactly where the issue lies; feel free to refile. 
However, as noted at
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Dispenser/Wrong_Extension, there are
several mp4 files claiming to be .ogg

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2dschrodinger.ogg is very recent (April
7, 2013), and uploaded through UploadWizard (but not sure if the issue is
specific to that).

Commons shows it as "MP4 audio/video file, AAC/h.264" and downloading confirms
that.  It is not an ogg in any way (not even mp4 in ogg).

mp4 is not an allowed file type on Commons
(https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:File_types).

I can see that work has started on this, with the mouse cursor changing to a

image, rather than the text box.

The problem with the collection is it's size (and the type of articles
contained). Rendering the collection is aborted due to a time-out (10 or 15
minutes I believe).
You get the time out b/c:
* the collections contains a lot of large articles
* the individual articles probably have a large edit history which slows down
the fetching immensely (since the complete edit history needs to be fetched to
display all contributing authors)

The only solutions is to split the collection into parts.

So no. I just noticed it when I copied that code and rewrote it for rowspan
only to figure out that the code block wasn't working. I tried finding what
would be broken due to this, but was not able to find an issue yet. (possibly
the whole block isn't even required ?)

If you keep the Down key pressed, the caret will travel down, dumping a pawn at
the end of some paragraphs.
I am not sure how pawn leaving is decided: For the same paragraph of the same
article, sometimes a pawn is dumped and sometimes not.

MediaWiki's OAI-MPH interface is aged, but still the default interface for
getting a continuous stream of updates to dbpedia and lucene. Currently, we
support "raw" output (effectively, internal json blobs) and "lsearch" output (a
fake wikitext representation of entity data). 

We should hook into the OAI-MPH interface to support all serializations
provided by Special:EntityData, to make it easy for third parties to get
updates of data contents.

Wouldn't this already be doable by using categories? Right now I don't see any
requirements needed on the technical side (Bugzilla), "just" community
agreement to create such categories which would be on-wiki?

Hello,

I haven't found this component in Bugzilla. So, I bug in this site.

I have installed Category Tag Cloud (Version 1.0.0) Extension
(http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:CategoryTagCloud) at the top of my
SidebarMediaWiki and I watch the following error:

Strict Standards: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid
callback, non-static method CategoryTagCloud::injectCSS() should not be called
statically in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/mediawiki/includes/Hooks.php on line
216

Some help me.

I have passed on responsibility for this a while ago, but i'll try to poke the
relevant people, and help them fix it (I'm pretty sure this was my mistake).

Adding Silke Meyer (who is technically responsible) and Kai Nissen (who has
been managing the site).

@Sam: WMDE doesn't have a bug tracker for stuff like this, perhaps we could
just get a product here? 

I'll re-open the bug with the new assignee; if you feel it's really in the way
here, close it again. We'll figure out another solution, then.

Slightly related btw; I like "Stay signed in" and "Keep me logged in" better
than "Remember me". It's not just remembering you, it's also remembering your
session. There is a difference. I find the FB and Google descriptions more
descriptive and they are not too difficult for ppl I think.

one possibility is that there were over jobs running at that time such as the
parser tests which takes a good 5 minutes to run. So if you have lot of changes
submitted (like X), the most recent change would be run (X+1) * 5 minutes after
submission.

Steps:

1. Write some text in VisualEditor in the Hebrew Wikipedia.

2. Select a word.

3. Press the link button in the toolbar. A small link insertion panel appears.

Observed: The direction of the  element for the link is ltr.

Expected: The direction of the  element for the link is supposed to be
rtl.

Comment: It does make sense to set ltr direction by default for external links
(http://www.example.com). For internal links the default direction should be
the same as that of that Wikipedia's content language.

Try typing non-ASCII characters in the VisualEditor edit summary field. For
example, just type the Russian letter ж continuously. Towards the end it won't
stop at 0, but at -1. Example screenshot from the Hebrew Wikipedia:

This should be handled in a cleaner way. Either disallow typing anything that
would go beyond zero, or allow all text to go beyond zero, as in Twitter or
MoodBar.

Something is not properly merged I think since the error message does not even
mention A bug on bugs.php.net.  (see

Additionally I'd expect to get revid === old_revid === 0 like for log actions.
userid === "0" and anon === "" is strange, too, but probably consistent with
edits imported as XML file.

Wikidata should add something like wikidata_revid and wikidata_old_revid, to
expose these IDs to API clients.

comment and parsedcomment seem to be empty strings for every change, even if
the normal watchlist is able to provide something like "Language link added:
zh:Wikipedia:可视化编辑器" This should be added to API output, too.
