  @Addshore btw do I understand right that constraints can not be fetched 
per-revision? In this case, do we still need cache-busting there? Or constrains 
manage their caches? I am not sure what to do here.

  With the help of @Addshore I was able to get Wikibase set up locally with the 
sites table populated from the WMF site matrix.
  
  The issue is with the suggestions that appear when inserting a new site link 
statement.

  With the patch applied, there are no suggestions (but also no errors; not in 
PHP, JS, nor on the network).
  
  Comparing the module output reveals the issue:
  
  F28500628: export.png 
  
  The data structure has the correct size, keys and urls. But, the groups and 
display names are all for `aawiki`. I assume the suggestion system only uses 
the display names, and so except for "aa", there are no suggestions.

  I attempted this previously with

  But "last version that WDQS knows of" can be very different from "last 
version that Wikidata has". That's the whole issue.
  
  I had an idea recently though. Maybe we could work it in two modes - if the 
stream is lagged sufficiently, we use the "latest available" mode - to jump to 
the front, but if we're more or less current, the probability of our change 
being current is high, so we could use "by revision ID" mode. Need to look at 
edit timings to see if it's workable but may be splitting two cases - catching 
up from large lag and keeping current - would be more efficient and allows us 
to use cache for the most frequent case (which is "keeping current"). That 
would be easy to implement and test - just a couple of if's in proper places.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  Repeat of T218299: Check for edit conflicts in schema 
undo/restore/rollback(?) , because I 
just realized we’re not quite done checking for edit conflicts. 
`SchemaWriter::overwriteWholeSchema()`, which is used for both undo and 
rollback, has no base revision ID argument, so while it’s true that 
`UndoSubmitAction` and `RestoreSubmitAction` check for edit conflicts already, 
there’s no guarantee that the revision they’re checking against is the same 
revision that `MediaWikiRevisionSchemaWriter` will get from 
`PageUpdater::grabParentRevision()`.

  On testcommons, the `WikibaseRepo`’s entity namespace lookup thinks there are 
items and properites in namespaces 0 and 120:

  current logic and status quo:
  in wikibase, explained here T126231 

  in lexeme, there was no such logic in lexeme -> we added very basic 
`baserevid !== latestrevid`
  
  If I understand correctly, I think wikibase is not doing what we think it is. 
Wikibase only checks that the patch is valid on both base and current 
revisions, but does not check diff (as far as I could see in code) between the 
two.
  
  If that is true, then the current logic we did for lexeme is a better edit 
conflict prevention than what's in wikibase, and probably we can go with it for 
this iteration and leave implementing more sophisticated diffing and conflict 
detection for a later one.
  
  But that might not be true. If someone knows from the top of their head I'd 
appreciate a shout. Otherwise, I'll have to go deeper later and figure out for 
sure.

  Currently when using Special:SetAliases to edit a list of aliases that 
include individual aliases that have a | in them destructive edits happen.
  
  Example:
  Edit throguh the JS UI creating some aliases: 
https://test.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q214=prev=489761
  Destructive edit via the special page (the user didn't actually set 
anything): 
https://test.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q214=next=489761
  
  As a bare minimum requirement the special page should detect when | 
characters exist in individual aliases and refuse to make the edit.
  I'm sure we could also think of something better however.

  Everything on commons will continue working as it should after the revert.
  Nothing was using this federation yet, it was just turned on as an initial 
step before depicts would be turned on later down the line.

  If I understand correctly, depicts testing 

 currently only happens on test-commons anyways, so the config revert on the 
real commons shouldn’t have affected that. And as there are no gallery pages 
 on test-commons, 
let’s leave that wiki as it is for now, so that depicts testing can continue.
