Jakob_WMDE added a comment. Thanks for spotting this issue! We had `wbformatvalue` on our radar as well. Getting it to work as long as `datatype` or `property` are provided should be straightforward. I'll make a patch! I guess we'll have to figure out if requiring datatype or property for these kinds of values is an acceptable compromise or if we need to look into making it work without those. I believe this can happen if you ran `composer install` or `composer update` in an extension folder at some point prior to migrating. My suggestion would be to find the other `EntityId.php` file(s) in which `EntityId` is still a class. You can try running something like `find . -name EntityId.php` in your mediawiki directory. It *should* only list `./extensions/Wikibase/lib/packages/wikibase/data-model/src/Entity/EntityId.php`, but my guess is that you'll have at least one more in a `vendor/` folder somewhere. Since you're using composer.local.json (as you should), you can safely delete any other `extensions/*/vendor/` directory you find. As far as I can tell MediaWiki responds with a 403 for auth errors and does
not distinguish between authentication failure due to an invalid token or being
unauthorized. Both cases give me:

From task breakdown: Subtask 1: Return 304 if the given etag is equal to the item revision id - parse header as an integer, compare to latest rev id - respond per spec with last modified and etag headers Subtask 2: Return 304 if given a date with `If-Modified-Since` is equal to or later than the time of the revision creation - ignore `If-Modified-Since` if also given `If-None-Match` - respond per spec with last modified and etag headers Questions to clarify by PM: - We're worried that people might send us lists. Should we really ignore lists (for now)? - Should we somehow prepare for accepting etags with the "weak comparison" indicator? Attempt to parse it as an int? Treat it like nonsense input? As far as I can tell from the updated logs, it's still failing for a couple of optional features which is expected if they aren't enabled. I'm seeing failures for Termbox, Tainted References and Data Bridge. The latter two should work with the snippets I mentioned in T289853#7321068 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T289853#7321068>. Did you add these to your LocalSettings.php? In the repo test suite I'm seeing a failing test for tainted references, which likely just needs the feature flag `$wgWBRepoSettings['taintedReferencesEnabled'] = true;` added to your `LocalSettings.php`. Not sure why "old revisions do not have an edit link" is failing. If you're not running the very latest version of Wikibase, this might be related to T227266 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T227266>. As far as I know this should be stable on Wikibase master now and I can't reproduce the failure locally. Data Bridge also needs some config to work. We ultimately went for a different approach to the one outlined in the task
description. The problem we didn't immediately see was that in order for this
approach to work, Wikit's consuming applications would need to add a wrapping
`.wikit` element anywhere its components are used. See also this comment
<https://github.com/wmde/wikit/pull/108/files#r459982127> from the PR linked in
the comment above.
This is how we ended up solving this instead:
- We added a `wikit` class to all components' root elements which we enforced
by an eslint rule (PR <https://github.com/wmde/wikit/pull/266>).
- Style scoping was achieved by changing selectors apply to any `.wikit`
elements or elements within `.wikit` elements, e.g. `.hello { color: #f00 }`
would be transformed to `.hello.wikit, .wikit .hello { color: #f00 }`. We
implemented this as a custom postcss plugin

I believe the patch I uploaded is ready to go aside from needing the properly released WikidataApiGem. It already passed the the buster mwselenium job (here <https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Wikibase/+/680996/13#message-a7177f9a6b495219b80e97ccc63ecf6965e3f63e>) and only failed on the rake job because the two were using very different Ruby versions. If both jobs are flipped to the newer images it should just work (tm). These are the remaining steps that (I think) are missing here: 1. Release and publish a new version of https://github.com/wmde/WikidataApiGem - the necessary changes <https://github.com/wmde/WikidataApiGem/pull/12> are already in the master branch. 2. Use the newly released package in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Wikibase/+/680996 instead of the github branch here: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Wikibase/+/680996/13/tests/browser/Gemfile#7 3. Verify //somehow// that this works. I believe the patch should pass on It's going to fail on the regular ruby jobs because of some version incompatibilities, so maybe we can add experimental jobs running the buster versions of `rake-docker` and `mwselenium-quibble-docker`? 4. Once it's verified, poke @Jdforrester-WMF to do the switch? Since this saves recent changes entries for the //local// wiki, this can simply get a write connection (RecentChanges.php does `wfGetDB( DB_PRIMARY )` internally) and replace `getEmptyTransactionTicket` with a `begin()` and `commitAndWaitForReplication` with `commit()`, and then waiting for replication for the local domain. The code within `RepoEntityChange` does not need to live in a subclass of `EntityChange` so we can get rid of it as it may lead to confusion again in the future.
