Tobi_WMDE_SW added a comment. Let me sum up a bit: Our current situation is that we have code that we maintain for our product WIkidata in five different locations: 1. Gerrit 2. https://github.com/wmde 3. https://github.com/datavalues 4. https://github.com/wikidata-lib 5. https://github.com/wikidata That includes two different code hosting systems which means two different development processes for contributors. Especially inside the Wikidata team which is the main contributor to the components this leads to frustration and a significant overhead when contributing and reviewing code and maintaining the rpositories. So, having the components we maintain in one place and having one development process would be a large improvement compared to the current situation. IMHO there are several scenarios: 1. Have all components on GitHub under one organization 2. Have all components on Gerrit 3. Have all components on Differential 3. is not yet possible but according to the migration timeline on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator#Migration_timeline migrating from Gerrit to Phabricator is still planned for this year. A demo is planned for the hackathon in May: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T560#1095147 While I would not totally exclude 1) it seems the overall opinion is going towards 2). In any case, we need to make the decision first which road we take, before we actually do concrete actions like https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T92520. While some components might be easy to migrate, some others are not and require several steps tackled first, like code coverage reports on Jenkins (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T88434, probably https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T88435), code-quality-inspection on Jenkins/Gerrit (e.g. Scrutinizer), integration with Packagist (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T87768), running unit tests on different PHP-versions and DB systems, etc.. Also in case we decide to go for 2) there is the question if it is probably better to wait for 3) becoming possible for not having to do the migration twice. On the other side, the Gerrit-Differential migration might be mostly done for us by WMF (citation needed) while the migration GitHub-Differential could get trickier (citation needed). Anyway, I want us to put thoughts into these questions before we actual start moving things around. Best rank is tricky - if there is preferred statements somewhere on this property, then it's `?r = preferred^^wdo:rank` otherwise it's normal. It won't be easy to do it in SPARQL efficiently, as it needs a lookup across all statements for this property. Our bug tracker has already a pretty rich and long history of tickets requesting a machine readable API to retrieve files metadata on Mediawiki in general and with Commons in particular. This one seems to be the last one and, from a technical point of view, the most promising one. I think I don't ignore the complexity of its implementation but I'm a little bit surprised that this is considered as a low priority and to not see more activity on this although structured data is probably the most important move currently running on Commons. We have free content, but our solution simply does not allow Commons re-using on an industrial scale. For example, at Kiwix, we spread millions of ZIM files which simply don't respect the free licenses (by not correctly attributing the pictures with corresponding license/author). That's why I want to ask what is the status/timeline on this and why this ticket does not have the highest priority? TTL should be enough for now. Right now command line would be something like:
mwscript
extensions/WikidataBuildResources/extensions/Wikibase/repo/maintenance/dumpRdf.php
--wiki wikidatawiki --format ttl --output {filename}
but that could change (see https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T93488 and
https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/198803/). So there might be several parts in
the future. Right now there's just one and ttl should be enough.

Ok, I'd prefer to either have `https://dumps.wikimedia.org/wikidatawiki/json` or `https://dumps.wikimedia.org/wikidatawiki/wikibase-json` (etc.) if that's easily possible (without messing with the xml dumps or having the xml dumps mess with our dumps). If that's not easily possible, I'd go for `https://dumps.wikimedia.org/wikibase-dumps/wikidatawiki/json` (as suggested by Markus). Would be nice to get this solved fast, as we want this changed before introducing (experimental) RDF dumps. The current dump location should be a symlink to the new one so that we can keep b/c. The biggest threats are a malicious users causes data corruption or resource consumption DoS, or an attacker is able to compromise the Blazegraph server and pivot to the rest of our cluster. The data in Blazegraph is all public (assuming we work out removing deleted/suppressed items), so authorization within Blazegraph isn't a big concern. Mitigating those threats: - We want to make sure we are aware of security patches to Blazegraph, and ops applies those in an appropriate timeframe. @Beebs.systap, is there a special mailing list we need to be on to get notified? We have had a number of patches applied to versions of the libraries that had CVE on the included library. The commons-fileupload in release 1.3.2 was the most recent example.
