  Thanks, possibly we need to be more careful how we do this rewriting in 
https://github.com/wbstack/mediawiki/blob/main/Dockerfile#L96 to better match 
what is done (for example) on Wikidata. I would describe this as a bug.

  Thanks for your feedback; looking at the code not removing the prefixes is 
probably harder to do but it's good to get your opinion.
  
  I suspect this means that the solution we build for wikibase.cloud will look 
different to the slightly more distant work on wikidata.org

  @Epidosis - as the original author I was wondering how you would feel about 
the actual output the default formatting output of SPARQL.js?
  
  This would mean no prefixes but each URI fully expanded. Would this be an 
improvement on the current situation or would it be worse?

  I noticed you were assigned to this task for a while; as you might have seem 
there is a a patch up to disable these tests in the near future unless we 
resolve this ticket therefore driving it forwards has become a little more 
urgent.
  
  Are you currently actively working on it? If so do you need any assistance? 
If not, that's also fine but I suspect someone from WMDE may wish to work on 
this in the near future and I wouldn't want to give the impression of them 
treading on your toes unnecessarily, if that's that case could you unassign 
yourself?

  At first glance, to me, it seems like the root of the problem might be us 
getting the RDF data from a SpecialPage rather than an api. Naturally special 
pages (mostly meant for consumption by users) have their addresses localised. 
Probably code that is meant to be read almost solely by machines should use an 
API. Probably making this change just for this ticket wouldn't make sense but 
might be worth keeping in mind.

  After enabling the wmde.2 images we discovered that our first basic test of 
creating a new item failed with a captcha request. We probably need to tweak 
the QuestyCaptcha settings to only protect against creating new accounts and 
then restrict editing to new accounts.
  
  We should investigate whether this restrictions is new and caused by some 
security patch. If it is we should add some details to the release notes 
because many of our users are probably also using these captcha settings.

  So it looks like the best next steps is to test these images manually and 
make sure they do what we want them to. This means changing the images that are 
running on the test server on cloudVPS.

  It looks like, despite this folder originally being a straight copy/paste of 
databridge it's now be adapted manually a few times.
  
  Although there might be advantages to reducing code-duplication we probably 
aren't that interested in to now given that:
  
  - different storybooks may still *want* different configs
  - we suspect we might be wanting to move to vite/rollup soon (indeed 
"querybuilder" which was developed after this ticket is written T276366

  Looks like https://github.com/hadolint/hadolint-action/pull/34 didn't see 
much progress (other than upstream asking for a rebase/merge conflict fix) and 
it's not clear if the upstream maintainers are likely to merge this patch.
  
  I guess we return to the previous two possible solutions:
  
  - Run the action multiple times (either manually or with a matrix perhaps 
built from searching the repo for all files named `Dockerfile`
  - Move @ItamarWMDE 's fork to a wmde place and take ownership of it
  
  We could also set a timer for another month and see if this patch eventually 
gets merged upstream.
  
  I don't feel strongly opinionated about this though. I think probably for now 
I very lightly favour the "run multiple times with some GitHub actions 
matrixing option"

  Still red after running overnight. I think the next things I will investigate 
are:
  
  - Summary of load on beta cluster; see if it's obviously over stressed
  - Consider if MWAPI should be using the maxlag parameter and if it should 
respond nicely to the 503/`Retry-After`/`X-Database-Lag` Header
  - Trying to improve on the upstream from wdio core "login" functionality such 
that it waits in the event the box hasn't fully loaded
  - Try to improve the recent changes test so that it optionally waits until 
the page has actually loaded before attempting to parse the title

  It's worth keeping in mind that browserslist can read its list of browsers 
from many places. This bit us a looong time ago when it resulted in different 
code being built on developer machines vs the test build for comparison on CI.

get a browserlist.

  Gotcha! It's certainly a snazzy feature. I think at the time we had some idea 
that the "Popper" might see use outside tainted-refs (hence why there is a 
really rather generic Popper and then an implementation) but at the time I 
don't think I had any ideas about it being any more than a dumb component (i.e. 
one who's parent controls both it's position and visibility).
  
  > Otherwise, we can just instruct the QB team to use a div with a v-if and 
some clever CSS tricks to ensure the position is close to what we want 
visually. Even in the example I think you are referring to, you still need an 
"activator" node to position the popover:

shouldn't know much about its surroundings. Both including what it was popping 
up near but also what might be triggering it to pop up/down.

  Currently each user is building the docker image and "hardcoding" the uid  
and gid into that image.
  
  Perhaps we could consider setting it a runtime e.g. using `--user` in the

having a published development image so everyone is using the same thing.

  Here you can see that at least some of the people working on Wikibase don't 
subscribe to the idea that the entityId in the GUID does correspond to the 
entity on which the statement sits (e.g. after deletion and restoration).
  
  So one shouldn't rely on parsing the GUID as a way to reliably determine in 
the entityId. We probably wouldn't want to inadvertently give the impression 
that one should do this.

  We struggled to determine the cause of this. As speculated it could be due to 
some network or serverside failure. Digging through the server side debug logs 
didn't show any very obvious things though.
  
  We considered that it is unfortunate that we can't see the normal brower 
console logs since this might show us failures such as load.php requests 
failing succeed.
  
  Sadly it looks like the ability to do this isn't there in the newer webdriver 
spec. See:

 (the old version) VS https://w3c.github.io/webdriver/
  
  Since it seems to have magically fixed itself; it couldn't be reproduced 
locally; and we don't have a great strategy for making ourselves better able to 
cope with the flaky tests in the future I'll close as invalid.

  I did a quick investigation into the current usages of these caching classes:
  
  Right now `CachingPrefetchingTermLookup` is only instantiated by the wiring 
for Property Entities in `lib`. Its cache interface is prefixed with 
`wikibase.prefetchingPropertyTermLookup.`
  
  `CachingFallbackLabelDescriptionLookup` is use by:
  
  - the lua bindings here 
\Wikibase\Client\DataAccess\Scribunto\Scribunto_LuaWikibaseLibrary::newLanguageDependentLuaBindings
  which uses the client formatter cache. This is intentionally prefixed with 
`wikibase.repo.formatter.`
  - WikibaseValueFormatterBuilders.
- In client this is using the client formatter cache (prefixed with 
`wikibase.repo.formatter.`)
- in repo this is using the repo formatter cache (prefixed with 
`wikibase.repo.formatter.`)
  
  This means that right now they are not inappropriately sharing the cache and 
there is not a risk of collisions. Of course we should be sure not to 
accidentally cause collisions when working on T266144

  - Adding an allow list to the spec is challenging without having 2 sources of 
truth. Because it is currently a static `schemas.json` file we'd need to keep 
this in sync with `ExternalServices.php` which would probably require some 
clever additional test or be fragile to developers making mistakes.
  - We would need to always update the spec
  - Users referring to a historic spec might have differing expectations
  - It might suggest to toolbuilders to write tools that are less extensible 
(e.g. they might try to hardcode these values)
  
  **Reasons to add the list of services to the spec**
  
  - It makes our end-2-end test feel more solid
  - It helps set the expectations of tools builders
  
  **Thoughts considered but immaterial**
  
  - It probably makes no difference for a Wikibase admin. They will be looking 
in the configuration docs not the spec

TASK DESCRIPTION
  In order to keep keys unique and prevent different Wikibases settling on 
different conventions we think that the keys need to be controlled some how.
  
  Currently any value is acceptable in the spec but "server-side" we have an 
"allowlist"
  
  We should investigate if we're still happy with this as an idea. Or if we 
should include the "allowlist" in the spec.

  It might be that one of the benefits of hosting (e.g. **Wikidata query 
service query builder**) on k8s would be the CI build step that could be 
provided by pipelinelib/blubber.
  
  In this case a single generic service (all using the same container images) 
would mean we miss out on this benefit.

  We're seeing errors coming from our Termbox Service that look like this

 We’re trying to make sure that we have some understanding of the different 
types of timeout so that we can minimize them where possible. We're also seeing 
this

 this flurry of related errors that we think is coming from some envoy thing.
  
  We didn't find a corresponding error from an App server that we were 
expecting to see (e.g. an error from Special:EntityData). Thus, we think our 
connection is perhaps having problems with envoy.
  
  So we wonder if those errors might actually come from the TLS envoy service 
that we don't really understand. How would we track down where those errors are 
coming from? Should we be taking any action about these?
  
  Maybe @akosiaris or JMeybohm might be able to give us a hint? We guess it

  This might help us define some stylistic rules (e.g. camelCase? )
