Ivan was awarded twice for his exceptional contribution for development and promotion of IT technologies in Serbia, by major professional associations from Serbian ICT sector and was an author of a documentary film “50 years of ICT in Serbia”. Yes, thanks, those are relevant policies. It appears that we don't have a policy that aligns WMF's investment choices with organizational values. For short-term investments where the goals are liquidity and preservation of capital, I think that this alignment should be relatively easy to achieve. For longer term funds that have the goal of accumulating returns, aligning organizational values with ROI may be a little more challenging but probably not impossible. Hopefully Garfield and/or Stu will comment on the possibility of creating a policy about aligning investment choices with organizational values. I think WMF's donors would appreciate having a policy that they could look at, especially when considering a possible WMF endowment. What are WMDC's current financials, what is its budget for the 14-15 plan year, and what are its sources of funds for last year and the 14-15 year? Can you quanitify the amount of volunteer and staff hours last year? Do you have goals or projections for the 14-15 year? Hi Pine, Our financial report for the past year and our budget for the coming year will be released this Friday in advance of our annual meeting. I'll send you a follow-up email once they're published. As far as staff and volunteer hours are concerned: - The only paid staff we've had for the past year is our contractor for Wikipedia Summer of Monuments, who has been working full-time since June. - We don't have any solid data regarding volunteer hours; while we've collected some information about individual volunteer engagement as part of our strategic planning process, it's not a statistically significant sampling at this point. Having said that, we're planning to prepare a more detailed volunteer plan in the next month or so, which will provide a better picture of our anticipated volunteer support needs for the coming year. Dear members of the Wikimedia Community! On October 22, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., at the *Frankfurter Platz* in Słubice the Wikipedia Monument will be unveiled. We would like to give the Wikipedia community to express their thanks to the originators of the Monument, i.e. the employees of Collegoun Polonicum in Słubice and the Mayor of the town, by preparing a commemorative book. The entries to the book will be collected on an dedicated polish Wikipedia page, and afterwards they will be printed and presented to the hosts of the unveiling ceremony by the representative of the WIkimedia Polska association.
