Sharing a bad news (if it is there) will help reduce stress. All of us can
then try to find some solution to it.
Moreover, there are many people like Ashwin, Arun, Arjuna, myself and many
more across the country who want to help out WMIN and take it further.
If nobody speaks up and tells us the current situation, their experience
and energies are not utilised at all.

What is the current status of EC members, what is the fiancial situation,
what are the projects being worked out?? Absolutely nothing is coming out
from EC for the last few months.. rather for an year or so.

Can EC send updates on these.

Greetings from Wikimedia India!

Wikimedia India would like to share the monthly report of March 2016.
Looking forward for your valuable feedback.

*EVENTS*

*SETTING UP OF ADVISORY COUNCIL AT WIKIMEDIA INDIA:*

The primary objective of setting up an advisory board at Wikimedia India is
to receive support, suggestions, guidance, advice and help in achieving
chapter’s objective from distinguished individuals having excelled in their
respective fields and mission. The advisory board members would provide a
non-binding advice to the Executive Committee Members, Wikimedia India
Staff and the community comprising of long list of editors across different
language groups.

The function of the advisory board would be to offer assistance to the
chapter with anything from legal advice to management of finances to carry
forward the goals of the chapter. Advisory board members would provide the
chapter with new knowledge, development of strategic thinking and possible
alternatives based on their expertise from different fields.

The advisory board would in turn strengthen the executive committee and
wikimedia staff to better execute their work, but does not interfere with
either the executive committee or wikimedia india staff regarding the
disclosure of confidential documents or forceful execution of their
advices.

Community members volunteered for Advisory Committee including Dhaval,
Sripathy, Yann, Bodhisattwa Mandal, Satdeep Gill, Adethya, Karthik Nadar.
