Give a spectrum management company (Comsearch, WAC etc) your site info and
have them do an interference search.

Anyone know who we would contact at the FCC to help determine what is
causing us
interference on our 11GHz link? Seems to have started as soon as
Clear started putting
a ton of 11GHz gear on one of our broadcast points. They are saying
they conducted
a study and no interference was found.

Hauling any public safety on those links?

Even the local FD that you give free service to...

Otherwise, good luck getting any real response from the FCC.

Did you do a search on the FCC ULS site to see what is authorized at your
locations?

I have heard of several issues where the high and low radios were installed at
the wrong sites on Clear deployments.

Not saying that s the issue but it is something to check

Pretty much all the lists here: https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/
That includes outages, lists for users of cisco, juniper, etc in a

Also lists for voip and iptv operators.

We can get to most internet sites, but those within AT&T's network seem to

I've GOT to get my addresses online.  We're completely out of space on two

 Any ideas for me?

[WISPA] ISP seeking MRP (material requirements planning) software

2010-06-29 Thread Lori Bridegroom
I have spent most of career in the manufacturing business sector. I was
recently assigned to manage the purchasing and inventory control for my
company. Before I try to re-invent the wheel in the ISP Industry, I want to
know if there is a canned MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Package that
others are using that works for the wireless internet providers. I want it
to include the following:

. A configuration input for special projects and additions to
typical installs

. Input for forecasting

. Ability to set planning horizons

. Lead times, re-order point, lots, etc.

. A pick list for each standard install type

. A pick list from special configurations

. An MRP explosion - compares demand and supply which eventually
creates a suggested purchasing list along with an exception list that
suggests to "pull-in orders" and "push-out orders"

[WISPA] VoIP Contract

2010-06-29 Thread Chuck Hogg
Does anyone have a contract for VoIP that has wording in it for network
outages and the like for us WISPs to protect us? Care to share? Offlist
is fine.

If you only have time to visit one neighborhood that will cover most of
this, you probably want The Loop (Delmar, between Skinker and Kingsland,
give or take a block). ucityloop.com. A number of music venues, several
restaurants, and a few wacky shops. Free parking can be found at Kingsland
and Delmar, on the west end of the strip, so don't get suckered into the
five-dollar parking garage in the middle. For food, Riddles Penultimate is
hit-or-miss (the menu changes literally daily) but usually more hit than
miss. Blueberry Hill has one of the best burgers you'll ever have, and the
Tivoli has kooky indie movies most weekends.

If you just want a good meal, try South Grand (on, um, South Grand, between
Arsenal and Utah). Less music, more international food. Whatever you're
looking for, there's probably one near there.

There's a few "nightlife" type things in Westport Plaza, including a comedy
club. westportstl.com.

For hardcore shopping, of the sort many wives will enjoy, go to either the
Galleria or the West County mall; those are the biggest and best. I'm sure
the fact that both of these malls have Apple Stores, and that I'm craving an
iPhone 4, is purely coincidental and my suggestion is not in any way
influenced by this.

Downtown: has almost nothing exciting, generally. That's where all the
sporting venues are, but the only sport in-season right now is baseball (and
I'm not even sure if the Cardinals are home or away during this little
shindig). If you're into nightclubbing there are a few choices on Washington
Avenue, but that's not my scene so I can't make specific recommendations.

Outages is a good list but I don't think it would be a good fit for
this current issue - NANOG would be better.

Have you tried posting to NANOG to see if someone from AT&T is on

Hi All,

We're trying to get some newly assigned IP addresses to work right.

199.204.200.x thru 199.204.208.x

My upstream tells me that their upstream is trying to work with AT&T on the
issue (that's where a trace route dies).

We can get to most internet sites, but those within AT&T's network seem to
be dumping into a black hole.

I've GOT to get my addresses online. We're completely out of space on two
of our class c's.

Any ideas for me?
