Can we do the following:

1. if you have WAVE invites, feel free to post to the list - just for
today only!
2. anyone asking for WAVE invites to respond directly to the invitee OFF
LIST!

[WSG] Google Wave webstandardsgroup?

2009-12-04 Thread Valeri Rojas
Hi everyone,

I see lots of Wave invites going out which is great but is there a public *web
standards group* wave? I had a look around and couldn’t find any public
webstandardsgroup wave.

Obviously anyone could start the public *webstandardsgroup* wave but maybe
one of the webstandardsgroup admin team should start it and everyone else
can just join it.

Anyway, that was just a suggestion.

Cheers

RE: [WSG] JQuery Scripts not loading in IE7?

2009-12-04 Thread michael.brockington
When I look at your homepage in IE7, the first image in the sequence
loads correctly, but then the slideshow continues with images that are
less than an inch wide, at the top left of their container. Was this
what you meant about it being broken; I noticed a second email that
implied the whole thing was fixed?

works ok in Firefox etc but the images just get displayed in IE7 but not

It's like IE7 can't find the jquery scripts?

The slideshow is on the homepage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [WSG] JQuery Scripts not loading in IE7?

2009-12-04 Thread Lesley Lutomski
I use Firefox with NoScript, which obviously causes display problems
with the page, so I tried it in Galeon (Mozilla-based but no javascript
blocks) and it's displaying as Michael describes - tiny image in top
left of frame. I then tried it in Firefox with javascript temporarily
enabled and it displays correctly. I don't have IE, as I'm running
Linux just now.

Don't know if this helps or hinders!

2009-12-04 Thread Krystian Szastok
I think it's a great idea.

Problem is that wave is for group projects, so really, if we wanted to
roll it out we'd need to start creating some kind of community
projects I guess...

But I do definitely want to participate.

Thanks,

I'm still just feeling my way in Wave, but it seems that it can be
one-to-one as easily as it can group involvement.

There is of course the risk that main-line topics get handled in a Wave
and that could exclude any list members that have not signed up, or do not
have the facility to use Wave.
It would probably also not show up in the list archives and I know from
personal experience that I have had many of my own queries answered with a
simple archive search.

Perhaps an idea to start is to add our 'Wave' address to our signature.
